Unless something has changed i don't think it has but you can go into 4hi while moving under 60mph but it needs to be in neutral to go from 4hi to 4lo.

I already said this on another video…. Test that 4X4 though. Like for 20 mins. Mine overheated, this was at almost the exact same kms you have now (15-16000). The dealer had a hard time replicating the problem, you need to drive it for 10-20 mins to test it. Low- normal speed, I was going about 20-30 km/ph on some hills testing my rock crawl mode on some steeper backcountry hills. It should not be overheating but I was happy to find the problem early on. I tested it and found this out on the first week I bought mine.

Next time I go out in the bush I will definitely test it. Thank you

If you're driving on a dirt road in 4H and it turns into pavement is it possible to safely shift the Knob from 4H to 2WD while in motion? Or must you Stop before changing from 4H to 2WD?
@CanadianCruisin4 ай бұрын
@johnhoyle6390 you can go back and forth from 2wd and 4HI. Only time you need to stop is to get into 4LO

Quick question , what gear and rpm does your frontier stay in while going 65 km. Recently mine has been changing to 9th gear at 65 kms with 1000rpms , it kind of bogs the engine...

I like all your video but I have a problem with my truck left camera not working how can i fix it please help me fix dis problem thanks
@CanadianCruisin6 ай бұрын
@peterwong8203 if it isn't working at all it may have come unplugged. If it's fuzzy then probably electrical problems which would be up to Nissan to fix. Is it under warranty still?

@CanadianCruisin good morning the nissan frontier pro 4x i ship it out of the country don't have warranty thanks

@CanadianCruisin6 ай бұрын
@@peterwong8203 I'm not sure exactly how they're wired in but if it stopped working I'd think it's a wiring or fuse issue.

I read something about using the 4wd system with manual mode (1st gear), that is helps with slow off-roading or holding your speed similar to crawl control (which the frontier doesn't have like a taco). Have you tried that?
@CanadianCruisin9 ай бұрын
I havent tried it but I'll give it a shot next time I'm out. We do have the hill decent control on the Frontier which is like crawl control in a way. It just holds your speed and doesn't let the truck speed up going over some stuff. I havent really tried that much yet either though haha

Is there a speed rating to max mph we shouldn't go over when switching from 2WD to 4HI? Can I be cruising down the interstate at 70mph and I start to get into snowy conditions, can I flip the switch from 2WD into 4HI with no issues?
@SnowyOwlPrepper9 ай бұрын
I would look in the book that comes with your vehicle. The maximum speed for 4WD operation in the 4H (four high) mode is 62 mph (100 km/h) is what I found. Myself I don't use 4H above 40mph.
@TheBeatenPaths9 ай бұрын
I used to be able to go 40km/h in 4L in my Ranger. I changed the transfer case fluid and now it's like a crawler gear. It's unbelievable. :)
@gnic769 ай бұрын
If you hit snow while doing 70mph you should be slowing down anyway, manual says 62mph max (100km)
@snowsolo9 ай бұрын
@@gnic76it's not unusual to go 70-75 mph for a 6 hr trip hauling snowmobiles up the interstate to Michigan during the winter. During that time you can get white knuckle whiteout conditions from lake effect snow patches off lake Michigan.
