This is a masterclass in how to present information so we mere mortals can understand it. The side-by-side shots of Kyle riding the wall whilst looking in different directions makes it crystal clear what happens when you're looking the wrong way. I don't have any wall-rides locally, so this isn't something for me to worry about at the moment, but I'm still using Kyle's advice whilst I'm trying to learn how to jump without busting my collarbone, and after ages struggling to pump, it was Kyle's step-by-step advice which enabled me to crack it in one quick session. It's a shame that April is obviously quite talented, because she picks up on each skill quicker than I would. I'd prefer slower, dumbed-down versions of these tutorials on jumping, cornering, drops etc, but Kyle's still the best tutor on KZbin.

this is awesome to see April out conquering some of her fears and transitioning through the course!! Kyle you look great hope there are absolutely zero lingering effects from the VAX that you got a while back Just a thought and doesn’t seem like it would bother anyone with higher ramp riding skills, why not just fill in the landing area with dirt to make it smooth and not have that rear wheel bump launch potential?? I understand the entrance having a little gap prior to hitting the wall but anyone that’s up higher on the wall will already jump and land past that gap transition on the other side so instead of having it be potentially dangerous and bucking somebody(begginer-ish) as they’re leaving the wall on a lower angle it would just be safe all the way through it’s not gonna bother anybody with speed on a higher side of the ramp because they’re going to be well beyond that transition point so it’s not even necessary and would be safer for those that are hesitant as April is in the beginning hope that makes sense but the transition gap on the opposite side is totally unnecessary and would not be missed by anybody like Kyle‘s ability because they’re already passed that area as they leave the ramp from a height standpoint just my .02 looking great April, congrats 💪🏼💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌟

April you are KILLING IT!!!! So strange how much harder it can be to do a wall ride one side to the other isn't it? I feel like turning right/ right wall rides are so much easier for me as well, but left just doesn't compute in my brain for some reason lol
@AprilRideMTB2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I don't know what it was about it, but it was harder than I thought it would be haha I was still struggling with the wood lip jumps too, that is also something I am trying to figure why it's so hard for me. I am thinking that the sound throws off my timing and maybe it feels stiffer than dirt? But it took me 2 hours to get through the line (that's why I cased so much at the end haha). It took so long, because I kept getting wild on the wood jumps! I need to dial them in more next year.

Wow look at you guys. Within 24 hours you are already pushing 300 comments. Glad so many others are finding out about what the rest of us have been enjoying for a while now. Great job April! I would totally be in the same shoes you were on that wall ride. I crashed on the leftward gap on gap off wall ride on the jump line at the Railyard bike park just east of Bentonville, maybe you've been there. But you rocked that whole blue line. Maybe some day I'll get out there and try that park. That line you rode looks sick. I can't believe they call that a blue line. It looks very black to me! Kyle great coaching and insights as usual. So amazing how we see how the body follows the eyes. Great side by side demo of that. Maybe the best I've seen yet on that particular topic.
@AprilRideMTB2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Jeff! Yes we did go to the railyard one morning one day this year, it was a cool park! I would say that the expert line there is more similar in skill level to our blue line.
