First thing that I would do is put that pipe and silencer in a vault. Put a FMF or PC system on it. Those can be replaced.

The Honda cr500 is awesome and has been the go to 500cc 2 banger since it came out! Could you just do one favor for all the 2 stroke guys out there? Just stop engine braking! It’s not hard just pull in the clutch while you decelerate

What's crazy is the new 250s are all watered down compared to the early to mid 2000s 250s lol. 250s in the mid 2000s were putting down mid to high 50s crank

Ive run all my 2-strokes on Klots castor and Sunoco Silver 100 octane mixed at 40:1 for 30+ years. Never had any engine problems.
