Dude! I've never really been into tricking at all because I thought it looked too hard. But i've watched some of your tutorials now and started to learn some of the simple moves like tornado, b-kick and hook. These videos are very inspiring so I might be able to progress into b-twist, 540 and raiz soon! At least I'll give it a try! Thanks for sharing your videos! Inspiring work :)

I thought about that, but I said to myself... "I think I'm going to make everyone buy mirrors so that they'll have to watch the tutorial in the mirror." =PPP I may do that for future tutorials, but no one has really suggested it, so if folks wanna see mirrored slowmos for opposite sides then I suggest they let me know via reply to this comment. =))

to really get the hang of alot, start with alot of jump tucks, jump and bring your knees into your chest, dont bring your chest down, jump straight up, bring your knees up, then when you think you get the hang of it and enough air, after you tuck, extend your leg out into the kick
@freerun0111 жыл бұрын
i have been able to do this for years, but I travel a lot... so I hope this helps me get more power into my corks and other combos.

Split kick. You know, like a double jumping kick but where you split your legs into a straddle in the air. It's used in a lot of creative forms.

Just to clarify, that wasn't directed at you personally, your question just triggered a vent session that I would like some feedback on. So don't take any of what I said to heart and if it offended you I apologize for it wasn't my intention, but I just feel like the communities are starting to grow more co-dependent.

Witch Martial art did you train and for how long? :)
@strikemods_11 жыл бұрын
Do I need to jump high for this move or its all in the kick/whip of the legs?
@juhoman_11 жыл бұрын
There are different techniques for raiz but I'ld recommend keeping your toes pointed in the direction you're travelling and kicking your heel up like when doing a compasso (td hook). I think gumbi is necessary prerequisite because "ideal" raiz is a gumbi without hands just like cartwheel is for an aerial. I don't think that good raiz has to be absolutely inverted but yours was a little horizontalish. It was still a raiz tho. Search for "Crazy Asian raiz" for the most nastiest lookin' raiz ever!

Hey Epic! I have a question though, if you don't mind me asking. How do I swingthrough from a raiz to let's say a "cheat gainer"? I already have the raiz down but I can't seem to swingthrough to another trick and it's kinda frustrating me because I end up planting the trailing leg instead. Is it because I'm not standing up out of the trick enough or do I just need to drill it more? Or are there tips to fix this?
@UnlimitedPowXx11 жыл бұрын
Thank you kyle :) I wish I could share this video but none of my friends tricking :( I had one friend that used to tricking with me but he got back to Canada so now Im tricking alone with your tutorials :D

Hey there! I've been watching your tutorials for a while, and I just started working on this particular skill a few days ago. All I can do right now is this awkward little turn-hop, but I have no idea how to progress from that. Is it as simple as just doing it over and over again until you've eventually got it, or is there something I'm missing? Can you or anyone else reading this help me out? P.S. Are there any drills, exercises, etc, that you know of to help work up to this?

Envergado is "raiz dleg" aka inverted parafuso, your both feet should land at the same time. In raiz, well.. They don't.
@leciasrinojannos91827 жыл бұрын
I hope you are gonna answer my question... Nice vid though.. Is the tornado kick the step before the raiz?
@MoveWIthMendoza7 жыл бұрын
Yes! Absolutely, just work on getting more and more OPEN with your chest and hips during your tornado and start trailing your legs.
@vonmesina111 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you should do that. I'm lefthanded so a twist the other way. But this tut is great! :DD
@johnluistro353410 жыл бұрын
The tutorial was very helpful!! thanks I really appreciate it, but how do I swing through the raiz? Im always landing with both feet and its hard for me to s/t it?
@MoveWIthMendoza10 жыл бұрын
Start by landing only on one leg. Then progress to land on one leg and swing the other. Make sure your chest is UP when you land, and just drill them! When it clicks and you feel the control and ease, follow through! =)
@johnluistro353410 жыл бұрын
Thank you I will drill it!!!

When ever I do a raiz my kicking leg slams on the ground and it doesn't look right.
@MoveWIthMendoza9 жыл бұрын
Try to land up tall, and focus on the momentum you're putting into your swing. The circle should be completed just before gravity pulls you down. But the leg that lands first has to land strong enough to stand back up as your second leg comes with with control and not loose & floppy. But make sure that your chest & shoulders are above your landing foot, and not leaning forward when you land.
@millermob49 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks I will work on it
