Did my 1st Bear last week using most of these tips from Kyle. Excellent videos and tutorials. Thanks Kyle. I have my electric chainsaw set up with a regular 12" bar and have a quarter tip bar and chain on the way. The 12 inch bar was an excellent jumping in point.

watched many videos of Basic Bear carving for Beginners.... This by FAR IS THE BEST.... I like you giving The Depth cut Instructions..( 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" ) etc... AND the advice of watching this a few times BEFORE you start cutting .. For me this gives me what to expect NEXT.. THANKS SO MUCH..

A little of it is the saw, a little is the jawhorse but most of it is your skill. That takes practice over and over. I still have my first bear which looks pretty bad. But, it shows that I've improved. Keep up the good work.

Yes it would . I run the Stihl pro line of battery saws . These are the Msa160 Msa200 and Msa220

I always say start with a Stihl ms170 it’s a cheap way to get started . They do not come with a detail bar you would have to by a new sprocket bar and chain
