Plus Asoka works for the rebels and would tell them. At least Bail Antilles would believe her. He would use that info to disrupt things in the senate before Palpatine was ready. Absolutely incredible start, I love how Kyle was able to immediately connect the first battle scene with what we hear from Obi-Wan in ROTS about the business on Cato Neiomodia not counting. I wonder if they will integrate parts of the Coruscant battle in the next episode, perhaps even finally resolving how Shaak Ti canonically died. It’d be incredible if we saw some Grievous action when capturing the chancellor to see how different it is from the 2003 version. I’m so hyped for the last few episodes 😄

I don’t think we should see Cal, Kanan, or Cere’s journey through Order 66. Those characters didn’t have a presence in this show and we didn’t get to really know their characters in this show. It’s going to be confusing and distracting for those that haven’t played JFO or watched Rebels. Besides, we’ve already seen their sides of the conflict, they could better use that screen time on something new and more exciting (I love all three of those characters, I just don’t think it’s a good use of screen time for the remainder of the show)

Also, no, I don't think the deleted scene in ROTS of Shaak Ti getting killed by Grievous is canon now. My understanding is that Anakin kills Shaak Ti in the Jedi Temple during Order 66 in canon. I believe in one of the comics (I forget which one) Shaak Ti is protecting the chancellor, she faces off with Grievous during the Siege of Coruscant, but he knocks her out and leaves with the chancellor.

Oh wow, I just finished watching the episode. And it was by far, the BEST episode of the Clone Wars saga. Especially the quiet opening, where all you hear is this calm Star Wars melody...and then it opens up on the original Star Wars theme from John Williams. I knew it was going to be epic. Not gonna lie, I may have shed a tear or two...when Anakin, and Ahsoka reunite again. And in regards to Kanen, I had no idea who that boy was....but when you mentioned Caleb Dume, I was like holy shit! This arc..is going to be awesome.

A year later however, I am still both happy and amazed that D+ greenlit this to begin with. Seeing the 212th attack battalion fighting on the bridge reminded me of Christophsis and the brutality of the battle had some deep Umbara vibes. Hell even the clones shouting and cheering were taken directly from Christophsis, "Up to the front!" This episode was great, finally got to see this show tie into ROTS after a long time hoping for it.

Did anyone else notice a parallel between the scene where Anakin presents Ahsoka with her lightsabers in "Old Friends Not Forgotten" and the "Wrong Jedi" scene where Anakin tries to give her back her padawan braid and she closes his hand? They're kinda the reverse of each other, where in one she is walking away from him and in the other, she is kinda coming back to him. I think the scene with her accepting the lightsabers shows how much she still values Anakin.
