You would be right…if those same fans were honest about said content and called it out when it was bad, but they don’t. Listening to how much they glaze current content you would believe it was all Top Tier, but it isn’t. The reality is they were chosen because all they would do is praise blindly, knowing they would get invited to more future events if they did. Those of who love the Star Wars universe don’t appreciate being taken advantage of by corporations or tricked by bootlickers. And it’s attitudes like mine that will and have forced Disney rethink their projects, so that they never have another failure like the Acolyte on their hands again.

In another career, I worked as a Film critic and a gaming journalist, both roles took me to some stupidly cool places like this (eg. visiting blizzard campus as a WoW fan, interviewing celebrities like Heath Ledger, Hugh Jackman, Mel Gibson) and I was so blown away at first but then, I am ashamed to admit, it became nothing special - just another press event.
