I mean a push is a healthy thing too, and good friends are meant to do that to help you. In the worst case, the friend is there and ready to defend the guy coming out if the other guy is homophobic. It's not like a situation where the gay guy is deliberately outed to other people in an act of bullying or sth.

This film was great. Especially how you signify the importance of people being openly gay despite the stereotypes and that your true friends will accept you for who you are. I also love the use of humour throughout despite the overall message of the film tackling a very real and serious issue within the Lgbt* community, The actors cast were perfect for the role they each played. I’d love to see more of your work. 😘😘

Some people choose not to come out not because they’re scared to, but because its really irrelevant and none of the other person’s business. I'm not out at work, but that’s because it’s none of my coworkers/manager’s business to know, and I’m a private person. Not because I’m “ashamed of who I am”.

I totally agree with you, if you're working, playing with someone or doing anything that doesn't involve sex there's really no need to tell them what you like. I usually only come out in two occasions, if it's relevant to the conversation, or if someone is being homophobic and generalizing. Same reasons for why I don't tell the people I work with what video games I play, or what's my favourite food to my teammates.

Don't know how that was so amazing, more of satire if you ask me. This coming out was really pressed and the fact he's gay got nothing to do with the relationship between the two, hence why even bother coming out. All gays are like "we are normal - just like you, it doesn't matter that we're gays" but then act like homosexuality defines them. That's hypocrisy.

It’s annoying when they portray gay characters as being as being stereotypically bad at sports. The bearded guy clearly has a great, toned body and works out, how are you not in-tune with yourself and know your own strengths? (Like how far you can throw?) But luckily, they did redeem themselves by making the other guy gay. 👏🏼 I’m just tired of constantly seeing the same stereotypical gay characters. It’s nice to have a change.
@chatterbox11

The character of Zach is portrayed as an excellent basketball player and he is gay--did you miss the whole film? Some people both gay and straight are simply not great at sports. And, you can certainly be physically fit and still be uncoordinated or otherwise not good at sports--getting good at sports takes practice. You don't just go to the gym and work out and then magically become an excellent sportsman. The character of Eduardo did not play basketball, so of course, he was not going to be very good at it.

@chatterbox11

I MP There are many hundreds of thousands of feminine men, straight and gay, in real life who either are not good at sports, or just not into them. And, there are some feminine gay and straight men who love sports and who are good at playing them. My position is that not every film or tv show needs to be a social justice project about breaking stereotypes. People can just be who they are. It becomes really annoying and patronizing when some shows says, “See THIS gay guy is different from what you expect!” It seems less about making an interesting story and more about making a political point-you can do both, but many stories that go that route just come across as preachy. Also, I feel all this fear about so-called “stereotypical” feminine gay men reflects both internalized homophobia and overt or subconscious misogyny. It is fine for guys to be feminine, it is fine for guys not to like or not to be good at sports. No one has to prove anything to anyone just for the sake of showing they are a “real man.”
