Wow, Kyle!! Thanks for catching that airborne piece of history! I hope and pray that they never let 'Fifi' fall into disrepair, and that they give her regular workouts. I wonder if schools actually teach kids the truth about WWII....or if they gloss it over and teach it as just one giant John Wayne movie?? My dad's generation deserves that their story be told....however unpleasant. Nice job!! :-)

Excellent job, I will add my two cents for consideration. Since a 2 stroke during its cycle will pull back some exhausted gas, you could be pulling an air mixture with smoke oil back into the combustion chamber. If you check your engine temperatures you'll probably see that you're running higher in the cylindar. Some exhausts actually have a separate stainless steel line that runs not from the tuned exhaust portion or above where it connects at the manifold. But from the silencer itself. You could have made a hole at the end of the silencer that you riveted and just ran a stainless steel tube into that. You would want that tube to spray not into the baffling material, but directly into the center tube portion of the silencer. Adverage smoke oil flashpoint 200c/392f ( with my head average is usually 337). So I wouldn't necessarily have it flash over in the combustion chamber but I'd rather not add anything into the chamber that's not helping to lubricate the piston. Since the exhaust gas is usually about 1100 degrees Fahrenheit, you should easily be able to get 400 in the area of the silencer (injection). Just my theritical babble. Along with you some type of braided hose to dissipate the Heat coming from the pump out to the exhaust. Best wishes.

awsome job Kyle. Smoke on my E O S 150 works but guess i need to pre heat by coiling feed pipe round pipe. Using rc fuel pump and rivnut into exhaust with a drilled bolt as a jet with feed pipe brazed on. Winter project hear in U K. Next project ..... a dual start for my E O S !!!! Boys and Toys.

I'm no expert in metals, but I seem to remember an engineer telling me about how electrolytic corrosion between differing metals in contact with each other is problematic, leading to premature fatigue, and joint fails. Maybe this is what's happening to many of these muffler / silencer fails. My saying, is, if it works, and it don't break, run with it. LOL :) Thanks for the video.

Hey !I know it sounds a bit silly, but as soon as you said you got a oxy torch,I knew you were going to burn though that exhaust! I just wanted you warn you ,but i think you got it nailed. I really like the hands-on engineering in your videos, respect from Manchester,U.K.

That's awesome man! I'm interested in how the pipe holds up at the brazed points. This is something I could actually do. I'm no TIG or MIG welder but I'm pretty familiar with the Torches. I would imagine eventually I will have a spare exhaust that has been repaired to work with.

I use a 350 mah 3S or a 400 2S! You've got a big ass 4S!!!! You'll be able to blow smoke for weeks. You need a gallon sized resivoir with that power. I also used a momentary switch rather than an on/off! I think I'm also going to wrap my oil line around the exhaust when I switch to my new motor

A lotta work for smoke. But sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do. Good vid Kyle. Suggestion: instead of silicone under the strap, high temp rubber sheet/strip. Black paint covers a lot of ugly.

Mr. David has some smoke oil that they use in the crop dusters. If you ever drop by naylor again ask him for a fill up. Matt and I have been trading a quart or two every few weeks for some beer. He says the crop duster uses about the same amount when they're signaling.

Thanks for a great video. I have the Propulse Titan with the Vittorazi moster as well. I've been wanting to add a smoke system. You probably have to change the baffle in the silencer more often due to oil buildup. Is this the case?

Awesome Video, now a question, what is the amount of oil residue left in your exhaust? As far as your silencer could you wrap the tubing around it on the inside to preheat the oil and run the tip out the end of the exhaust for less oil residue?

Try moving your injection point way down by the muffler or in the can. This will get rid of your self siphon issue and avoid any change in rpm when smoke is on. I also added a flow control so you can dial in how much oil is being dispensed. here is one I did using windshield washer pump and canister kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIXVc6qprtKJlas lots of info here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apaaq615n9GEgtk
