Kyle I have Masterverse Slush Head. After watching your review man, I feel absolutely lucky and blessed mine didn’t break on me. I never heard anything or was made aware until your video. I did my Slush Head two Sundays ago. Thank You for everything you do for the collecting community.

I went to Target and one store had 5 Slush heads. Knowing people broke them from FB groups I examined that specific claw on all 5. 2 out of those 5 had cuts in the claw. The same place it breaks on everyone else’s. It’s a mass QC issue. Guy in the group posted about theirs followed by 20 some comments “mine too”

My tentacle piece broke too, but it was maybe 1/4 inch long, so I didn't realize it for a while until I found the little shard sitting on the desk. The promo pics on Mattel's website also show removable domes. The heads, purple fluid thing & the domes are supposed to be interchangable. Unfortunately, both domes are glued in place.

I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with this figure! Probably my figure of the year so far. Sucks so many people have had issues. 😢 ( also - side note.. I was super rough and haven’t heard the stories yet.. came out great.. weird

I agree! Really great figure and I too was rough with pulling those tentacles out of the (annoying) plastic tray, mine was fine 🤷

After many months of sleepless nights, and a few days in the local isane asylum. I have, through my indepth deciphering skills, translated the mysterious bar code. If properly translated it will output the probability of qc issues for said figure. I haven't had the pleasure of opening one yet but Im guessing the probability for ole slush head will be astronomical.

yikes, i will have to be very careful when i get mine cause i can't return it to target if it breaks cause my only target store is nearly 500 miles away from where i live. so, i have to rely on the website.

Quality across the board in the toy industry seems to be lacking. Mattel, McFarland, even the smaller ones with some recent retro lines. One of those days I'm glad to be an inbox collector.

That really sucks about the breakage. I could feel your rage. As for Slush Head himself, I agree he’s not really a favorite. I find the New Adventures era fascinating now as an adult…no so much when I was younger. He does look interesting, though. I appreciate what Mattel is trying to do to incorporate all the eras together. This figure just seems to suffer from quality control issues. That helmet was supposed to be removable, but they apparently changed it. Why make things more difficult than they have to be, Mattel?

I think it may have been a design flaw in the packaging. I have Slush head, my figure's tentacle arm broke EXACTLY like yours did, same arm and same part, and I was also being very careful.

Lol mine too..the exact same claw..the only difference is instead of a chip...my entire claw was broken

Dude. I got mine. All good, but I noticed at the store that more than 50% of them were already with broken tentacles. Also, do you know how to remove the transparent dome from his armor?

I'm picked up a bunch of the masterverse on clearance or sale but only opens the revelations Tela. Love the look of these but when toy break right out of package it makes me question buying more. Thanks for the video. Make and contact Mattel customer service. Maybe if enough people do they will update going forward and maybe they send a replacement.

The tie straps on some of them are brutal. My Andrea had a broken foot out of the box. Quality control is much better on Origins compared to Masterverse it’s not even close

You did nothing wrong its broken in the box and it is on 60% or better of them. I had one in my car ready to leave TRU when I took a close look and noticed the same thing. I went back in and did an exchange. There were 2 more on the shelf, and one of them was also broken there. The third one looked fine but when I got it home there was a break in the box on one of the other tentacles that you could not tell until you opened the box. They even glued the damn glass dome in place negating half of the features the figure is supposed to have. I do not know why they made the tentacles out of transparent plastic and painted it. Transparent plastic is ridiculously fagile.

From what I've heard from other people, Slush Head suffers from some real extra fragile plastic. I haven't opened mine yet out of worry tbh 😅

the tentacles are transparent plastic that is painted and transparent plastic sux. Also his dome was not supposed to be glued in place, there are tabs and it is meant to be able to come off swap in place on the large backpack when a head is installed they showed this in promo pics but then in assembly they glued all the damn things in place. 3 in 4 chance having a broken tentacle. All three at the Toyrsus I got mine from had broken tentacles.

It’s a tiny point that broke. Just super glue that piece and no more issues. With how bad you cried I thought the arm, leg, torso or major part of the figure was broken. And then you pointed out it’s was the end of that claw………😂😂😂😂😂. Wow. I Watch a bunch of your vids but this one was a doozie. Seeing you revert to a childlike state on camera was incredible.

I just value my money more than you I guess I don’t prefer any figures breaking out of the package. I guess that’s where we differ. These videos are my opinion, and mine alone or something like this is a big deal to me and I would not hide it from my audience. And play it off that it is ok because it is not.
