This is the kind of care many Cherokees need but don't get. Good on you for tearing apart the interior and stopping the rust in its tracks

My brother has a 95, and I have a 96. Both had the water leak attributed to the bushing around the antenna. Lots of silicone sealant solved that problem.

Great places to check. I have completely sealed off my cowl area to rule that out, and it still leaks when parked in the rain. Just a bit on the passenger side, much more on the drivers side from that same general area. Will be a project for next summer when temps stay above freezing. Right now I just keep an old towel on each floor and change them as needed. Carpet is already removed.

My passenger side leaks around the same spot... I'm gonna have to check the antennae plug.

Same here. The weird thing is sometimes it'll go lomg periods without leaking and then after a particular rain, the passenger floor is soaked. I don't get it. But checking the antenna tomorrow.

Did you ever figure out the leak in the rear?
@KyleSVT Жыл бұрын
I think so. Not 100% sure, but I just finished putting a new rubber seal on the rear hatch and used a bunch of clear exterior window caulk to seal everything up. I also shimmed the rear hatch up a little as I think mine is pretty warped from the florida sun. Will keep you updated on how it turned out

How'd that turn out? I'm dealing with passenger side and back hatch badly leaking. Mold and fungus everywhere!
