And well done with your misleading stats, you said "mbappe played more games" to devalue his work in comparison to Messi when Mbappe played only 5 games more having 56 games with 56 goals and Messi played 51 games with 35 goals. You also reduced Mbappe stats by 3 because he has 73 goals & assists this year not 70 like you said, but ofcourse you didn't make any mistake with Messi's 65 goals & assists. Age is irrelevant to who was better, the only thing that matters is what a player contibuted to the team not their age or should we give Zlatan more points per goal & assist than Messi since he is 40?. Aside from my bias for Messi, Mbappe is undoubtedly THE BEST footballer in the world this year. Not Benzema, not De Bruyne, not Haaland, not Neymar. He is. We wont be ready to see this guy dominates the football starting from tomorrow. Haaland is the only one who can match him. But he needs to prove himself in big CL matches and also with his national team. Mbappe has been brilliant in last 2 editions of WC and currently the top scorer in CL this season.

i think that as far as a footballer goes mbappe is much more "complete" than haaland, as mbappe can dribble. hes fast, he can pass well, he can finish, he truly is a perfect lw, however haalands skillset is a bit different as he is a striker and plays as more of a target man/goal poacher rather than a playmaker, at this point mbappe is definitely the better player and i hope to see haaland get better and better and learn more of these fundamental skills while at city but i do believe speaking of haalands national team is a bit unreasonable as he plays for norway who have a very slight chance of competing on an international level
