Strangely, 'Dancing' gives me sadness, memories, joy and comfort on things that have happened recently. I idolize Kylieu because her music goes through my soul and interwines with things I am going through. The part of the song that goes 'and when the final curtain falls, we could say we did it all, the never ending of a perfect day' makes me a little sad because it's a truth mostly forgotten, yet makes you reflect on the impact you are doing to live your life according to who you are. And that is the key to live without restrictions, conditions, and most importantly, without regret, I intend to live that way from now on for when I go out, I wanna go out dancing. Thanks Kylie

I absolutely love the statement choreography, marking clearly a new era while keeping it so Kylie at heart with all that sparkle and well-thought simplicity. Kylie does not need a cowgirl's hat here to blink her eye to country music or USA, she is the re-inventing fairy of pop without being calculative, while experimenting with new music, new lyrical style and her growing maturity as the icon next door. People might dismiss Dancing as a simple song about having a fun night out but it has got much more depth to it. Kylie is singing about life itself and the terminality of it, making a commitment to enjoy this ride to its fullest while always looking for the bright side of things. The Golden album artwork further reflects this psychoanalysis approach of the record. We can see Kylie sitting on a couch (of all places!) and her laid-back, in awe expression suggests she just had an epiphany about something simple yet grand. The fact Kylie sits besides a guitar suggests more than a musical direction, but the way she has managed to understand her pain and step towards her healing: making music (she co-wrote every song on the record). Can't wait for the album! GOLDEN times are coming!

Fernando Machado I agree. That's actually the thing about Kylie and many other pop artists, the lyrics actually have a deeper meaning than the joyful surface of the words they are written in, and thus many people dismiss such songs as superficial or simple, and they're the complete oposite :/ So glad the goddess is back 😍

Kylie brings light and happiness to any dark day. God bless.
Beyond its catchy beats, fresh countrified guitars and vocals, Kylie here delivered a deceptively poignant message. A lot of people forgot that she is a cancer survivor and IMO, she's singing about facing death without fear, because she's lived her life to the fullest and valued what she's had. When she mentions "the final curtain falls", and then you understand that "go out dancing" may not mean that she wants to go to a club, but rather, is a metaphor for leaving this Earth in happy, regret-free way. It's also seen in one of the opening lines, when she says "when you come knocking, I'll be at your door"- IMO she's addressing death and saying she will be more than ready when that happens. I can't imagine her struggle, but I am glad she survived to entertain and put out upbeat music with great meaning. 30 years on and she still got it. I hope this is a hit for her, especially in US. They don't know what they're missing. PS: Sophie Muller did another fantastic video. Kudos to her too.

Let's be honest, Kylie will forever be a pop queen in her own right, she's not in her early 20's anymore, she's grown, matured, and experienced life. So as far as people complaining that this is such a 360 from her usual pop sound, get over it. Artists are allowed to grow, she's already established herself well enough. If you can't follow her through this musical journey, then you should be questioning why you like her in the first place.

Watching Kylie dancing is everything we all were missing and wishing. Thanks for bringing back good music, your beauty, your dancing, joy and glitters to your fans.

This amazing little woman defeated cancer and, as it seems, getting older (this beautyful lady is 50yo!?). The song sounds like Kylie Minogue would be a daughter of Dolly Parton (including the boots). Fantastic!

chru cas That’s so offensive to Dolly. Can’t believe you compared this song to one of hers.🙄

Heard for the first time on the radio today and fell in love instantly. I have a feeling this song will be on my summer playlist

I do not know this woman, but I assume she was gold 'back then'. When I heard this song for the first time on the radio, I thought like most people this is some old hit song. It's really amazing. I keep listening to it repeatedly.

she's from Australia & we don't get it Country? She's always a Gay icon & we wonder if she was Gay after so many attempts of finding a man. She's plastic, cold hearted & not like by many Aussies the singing budgie's doing this now OMG Aussies are having a good laugh at her. Her concerts have been coming every year & her last one left half of the venue empty.

@@Gayzeee1 Really? Strangely enough as an Australian I haven't read about empty seats, anywhere. People would sell their soul to see Kylie in concert, particularly in Australia. I see she's just put on a second show in Sydney this summer(and I think the stadium seats 15,000plus!)
