Awful, awful interviewer ! Kylie is incredibly nice, open and chatty but she and Nick cannot cover the long awkward silences and stunted conversation , it is really painful to watch The interviewer makes really odd comments that completely close the conversation down and stop it from flowing. Kylie says she has had grief in her life and instead of thinking it is an interesting personal .topic to ask her to speak more about , he says , "No you haven't, you're a nice happy girl" and changes the subject , moving the ' conversation ', towards mundane and banal topics. Nick Cave says he is open to sexual attraction to both sexes and the guy just says, Ye, erm.........Kylie "? He eventually , after she replied very honestly and openly he ends with ......" uh .........fine ". ! He has no apparent intellectual curiosity at all so how on earth could be possibly be a professional journalist and interviewer ? . He says he previously had one of the hardest moments in his career when interviewing Nick Cave, ( which I can believe judging on this performance) and when asked to elaborate, can only say, .." we argued a bit " and thats it ! Its not exactly eloquent or descriptive of one of his 'hardest' life experiences ! Nick Cave just seems embarrassed to be there. Kylie and Nick both try to make it interesting and talk but, the guy is more concerned with useless boring statements about his producer and how he cant tell a funny joke which is true.. Its so toe curling and embarrassing to watch ! He is the most stunted, awkward, self absorbed and dull interviewer ive ever seen , with no apparent ability to talk without making everything stiff and boring ! Is he the usual host of the show or someone who has never dont the show before ?
