The issue with M fans is that they really believe she’s the creator of everything. Madonna was already well-established as the Queen of Pop (rightfully so) when I was born... Being American means I grew up knowing only her.. It wasn't until 1998 that I started listening to Kylie as well. Even then, there was no comparison to me as I loved both in their own right. And then Britney came along, and that was a much closer comparison to level of success in American music. But I'll be honest, Kylie really held it together through the years. I would have lost my mind to have it brought up so constantly. And I feel like no one realizes that most artists have no control over what what they become. As an artist, you seem to get the pick your genre of music (and even that could change), and the rest is all controlled anyway. But kudos on the vid for finding all of these references. I love both.

I didn’t know that she’s always been asked about Madonna regularly over the decades. Never heard that before. Never even thought of her as the same as Madonna either. Every female pop star after Madonna has been compared to Madonna.

The only celebrity Kylie the matters, first of all! It sucks she had to be swarmed by questions on Madonna her whole career. Also, sad how she seemed forced to accept her as a long lasting queen by the end. Her body language told it all, she was sick of the Madonna questions!! @Nate Kylie said it herself that being constantly compared with Madonna was initially very flattering and then she got a little bit sick of it, HOWEVER Kylie also claimed to be inspired by Madonna several times, she wasn't just asked about the Queen of Pop. Forced to accept her as a Queen by who? I remind you that Kylie wasn't forced to pay homage to Madonna multiple times in her own concerts or even videos, especially when she used a fragment of Vogue for the Showgirl Tour or even recently when she made a clear reference to La Isla Bonita in her video "Stop Me From Falling". If she were so frustrated by this eternal paragon or just by the fact that she was second to Madonna, she would be more reluctant to pay homage to the latter. She even accepted to record a song written by Madonna named "Alone Again" around middle 00's. Her admiration towards Miss Ciccone is absolutely genuine and I'm afraid to say but, in spite of Kylie's own words in one of these interviews, she actually couldn't give a shit about Janet Jackson at all. They're utterly different. That was clearly one of those times she was sick of being asked about Madonna by journalists that through their questions, somehow, implied that she was a sort of a "Madonna Wannabe".

That's basically the best way to get caught to make up these type of lies so I doubt her team would make that up. Honestly we don't know we weren't there. Both songs aren't that alike except, as madonna herself said when she was asked about it, for the chord progressions that were similar. Gaga said that the chord progressions were similar indeed in both songs but said that was it. Actually she agreed with madonna's comment about it but didn't consider it was a copy. Kylie is adorable and very talented. It really is a shame she never became very popular in the U.S. She's huge everywhere else on the planet. She isnt the only artist over the past 40 years to become a worldwide phenom but not break into the U.S. I have been traveling frequently my whole life (im 45) mostly in Europe but also quite a lot in South America, Asia, and Australia because of what I do for a living. I am constantly discovering great music/artists that never end up charting here. Dont know why but I suspect the massive entertainment corporations in America have something to do with it. Oh well it our loss.

Madonna has and always will be 'My Queen' and Kylie 'My Princess'. I have seen them both perform/speak on more than one occasion and they take command of everything with their star power. I LOVE & ADORE them both. To watch them perform a fun, energetic, uplifting dance song would, as Kylie stated, stop the orbit of the Earth. I could then die a very happy man.

I recently became a big fan of both artists. It's been great to discover her catalog. But I didn't realize she was compared to Janet and Madonna. I didn't realize she was that big overseas. Her music is so hit or miss here in America. I remember at a big college dance club night, they introduced the European Madonna lol! We were all like what?? The real issue is that there's so much competition here. She's more of an independent artist in the US. I remember when the fever came out. They had a huge Tower Records promotion in Chicago. It was huge, but I did not care for it when it came out. I also did not like Body Language, they really pushed that hard on TRL and the other music teen shows. It sounded too slow compared to what everyone else was doing when it came out. I wasn't a big fan until X was really promoted on Itunes/Zune. It was heavily promoted online. But again, I did not see any TV coverage of it. I really liked it! It was so different, and I thought it was light years ahead of what everyone else came out with. Lady Gaga then came out right after this with a similar look and It really took off in the clubs/parties here in the US. I forgot how much I liked Kylie when she came out with Disco last year! Her 94 CD is really good, and I forgot how much I liked Impossible Princess. She's got a great catalog.

I loved it! As a long time fan of both Madonna & Kylie I’m able to say that they’ve inspired each other and Kylie has been enormously accused of trying to be Madonna when they could not be more different. Obviously Kylie wasn’t happy with that back in the 90’s but who would? I love how they respect each other and any feud is definitely in the fans/press imaginations. Just imagine yourselves being compared to someone all the time...must be annoying even if it’s your best friend. Madonna’s the queen and Kylie’s the princess. There’s no more to it.

Madonna has gone on record anAtd declared her admiration for Kylie before...with words and sometimes by an act. I can count at least six right off the top of my head. Actually, from the moment that Madonna basically became British, they swapped places a little bit and all of a sudden Madonna was doing things that Kylie had done first.
