I love that she isnt having guest singers/rappers in her lead songs. I'm a hardcore Madonna fan but hate that she feels the need to have almost every song released recently 'featuring' someone else.

This!! Madonna was the one who introduced me to pop music when I was just 9, so I have a huge appreciation for her and everything she's done for me; I know her entire discography by heart, have her CDs, been religiously following her and will be the first in line for tickets when she does tour somewhere affordable for me. However, since Hard Candy, I've felt that she has stopped making trends and started pursuing them. Nothing in HC, MDNA or Rebel Heart (as much as I love RH) sounds original or fresh; they are all copy-pastes of the sound(s) of their time. Madame X did something, which I hope she retains for her albums to come, but I do so wish she'd drop the features because 80% of the time they *do* . *not* . *give* .

It’s more difficult for Madonna’s brand to age well than Kylie’s. Madonna’s brand has always been to shock and being overtly sexual.. which is hard to do as you age without looking desperate, I think that’s the issue.. she feels like she needs features to sell records. And even when it’s not featuring a rapper, she has other artists feature in her videos. Kylie’s brand hasn’t ever been overly sexual so she’s aged better. They’re similar ages but Kylie doesn’t feel old to me, Madonna does, which is why I don’t think Kylie feels that she needs to feature other artists. Also, Kylie’s taken better care of her voice which helps her.

not exactly the same room, but a motel room. so yeah there is a connection to it. also it is givin : lady gaga hommage(the black dress incarnation and i am not even a fan of madame gaga) , the wizard of OZ, american horror story, 2005 showgirl theme, i shoud be so lucky girl next door, and at the beginning and end the total 80´s neon light vibe.
