Such a beautiful song this got me through Covid. Nice reaction. The video was recorded during the Covid lockdown so they did an amazing job under the circumstances. I absolutely love you guys and your love for Kylie. This song was also recorded in lockdown. I think she did most of the recording remotely at home.

This song was released when we were in the DEPTHS of covid lockdowns here in her hometown of Melbourne, and I cannot begin to describe how important this song was to me at the time. The lyrics were so significant and pertinent at the time and I'm very thankful to Kylie that she insisted that this be the lead single against her label's own wishes.

I have to admit that Kylie has been in my orbit for the past 35 years and I actually have a few of her albums, which I enjoyed. But I always felt like her music was a bit one-note - just variations on the same dance pop motif, albeit, done extremely well. So it was kind of disposable for me in a way. One day while I was bored doing chores at home, I asked Alexa to shuffle Kylie Minogue songs just because I was in the mood for something light and bouncy. The first song played, "Wild Rose," threw me for a loop since it was so unlike anything I've heard from her. Then it was just hit after hit after hit and after a while I just stood there in awe of all of the infectious bangers she had released over the decades. But the gamechanger for me was when Alexa played "Say Something." It was funky. It was ethereal. It was modern but also timeless. And it hit hard emotionally. Such an unusual song that lacks a chorus and just builds and builds until it explodes (like a supernova!) at the end with a message of hope and unity. It really got to me. Needless to say, I recently jumped down a deep Kylie rabbit hole and I am so in awe of her prolific body of work. Literally thousands of songs, if you include all of the remixes, duets, collaborations, guest appearances, B-sides, unreleased songs, etc. And unlike most other recording artists, she has gotten better and better with age and the proof of this is her latest album Tension II, which really could have been a hastily thrown-together hodge podge sequel of misfit toys and filler songs, is perhaps her most consistently enjoyable work ever. It's been a joy, at this stage of my life, to (re)discover these gems that have been hiding in plain sight. So, needless to say, I really felt your reaction to this song.

Omg I love and agree with almost everything you just said. And this song … goosebumps EVERY SINGLE TIME. The only thing I kinda disagree with you on is that this song doesn’t so much lack a chorus as it actually has TWO. “Say something, say something” is probably one of the shortest choruses ever, which is followed by “cos love is love, it never ends” as the second chorus. Both these choruses eventually merge into a joyous, climactic, musical explosion, especially when the choir piles on and takes this song to a whole new level. In other words, this song is the closest we’ll ever get to a musical orgasm. My only gripe with the original version is that the choir isn’t prominent enough, but this was rectified with Kylie’s ‘live’ performance, the version I generally prefer.

Love your reaction to Kylie, she's been in my life since I was 10 I'm now 46. Disco is my favourite album too. You're making me cry watching you react and saying how much it means to you, echoing everything a life long Kylie fan feels. I'd love to be on your paid for subscription but finances does allow that right now, but if you read this please watch Crystallize. This song.....! She did this song just after her cancer treatment and donated the proceeds to children's cancer research. The video is amazing too, she looks amazing phenomenal and the song is amazing

I don’t understand why you react to stuff that the woman on the right had obviously seen millions of times. There’s no ‘reaction’ apart from her overreaction to everything.

You have any friends you share with music with or recommended they check out? If so, how'd they react to those songs you recommend after they listened to it? Apply that to what you see in all the Kylie Minogue videos on this channel or me showing her Kpop/Jpop artist i've seen a million times and she sees for the first time.
