This is the saddest happy song ever. Kylie is singing to a lover who can no longer reply. "Say something" she pleads. "Can't we be one again?" she asks, wishing that she could be back in that moment that they were once in together. "You could light up the dark"is an expression of her love and "we're a million miles apart in a thousand ways" underlines the unassailable distance between her and her lost one. Kylie, hugs.

@D C, Y C.of course teenagers do but they aren't the only ones buying music. It cant be denied that anything by Madonna or Kylie is accompanied by lots of fat ugly old men abusing them and saying they ought to vanish from view. Male artists dont get to to be told "eww, past it, put it away love, have some dignity, go home, and die, you have no value unless you're hot" It's great to see woman after woman ignoring this. Now, I'd like to see these women ageing and changing style accordingly....and not writhing about like when they were 20. Because ageing brings so many benefits that take you by surprise....

She's great, but she's not a true artist. She isn't the primary songwriter of her songs, her tracks don't have a lot of lyrical or musical substance - she could be much better. I wouldn't say she's manufactured, she's Kylie, she's a goddess. But this comment is an overstatement to say the least Lady Gaga is the true artist of this generation. Similar classic diva-level qualities, except she's a far better vocalist, a multi-instrumentalist, she can dance, act, WAY more interesting, and writes everything she's ever released.

100/100 - or whatever is the next equivalent high score. She managed to do this in the middle of a global Pandemic - simply wow! Her simplicity stands out in her aristry. And her ability to make music that leaves you happy, peaceful, joyful, and every positive emotion you can think of - again, shines bright (!!!!!!!!!) in this cosmic fireworks of a music video. I see the camp effect mixed with 70s style disco videos. Reminds me of BoneyM, ABBA, Bee Gees’ music videos - only this one is yet so current and even futuristic in many ways. But there is so much newness and innovation with everything Kylie (yes, there is only one KYLIE - identified around the globe with that magical first name) does, she keeps stepping up the game and keeps reminding the newbees what it takes to last and succeed for 30+ years in this industry. One of my most favorite albums of her has always been "X". I never knew if Kylie could surpass the musicality of "X". But if "Say Something" is a taste of what is to unfold, I am super excited. I can’t wait for "Disco" to drop in November. And hopefully she will have another single out in September - because god knows we need more happy and optimistic and uplifting music like “Say Something”. And not gonna bash others putting out the kinda music out there - that top the so called music charts (big joke). No judgement at all. As they say - to each his own. But all I want to hear about and want to dance to is music that will set me free. And god knows - every time I listen to this song, it does set me free. The message is clear. We are all always trying to find ourselves and someone or something or somebody - who we can relate to, at different levels of humanity, connected by various human emotions - and you find that someone or something that you can relate to, and the only way to do that is by expressing yourself and hence "Say Something". And finally, as someone rightly said - "The greatest thing is Love....". She has always stayed true to her motto of Love from the very get go. And for that and everything she has done and keeps on doing - Thanks Kylie. You’re the best. And as always - She did it again! xoxo

Quite disappointed with this video. From Dancing, Stop me to Golden, Kylie has been using the same director which i found her work is not impressive. Miss K, there r lots of talented directors outside. Give them a chance.. we would like to see your another excellent video like Come into my world, did it again and chocolate..

I never tire of listening to this song. Just beautiful. The rhythm, the voice, the little guitar rifle, the drums ... The goddess of pop music. Stainless. An admirable committed woman. Like the Phoenix, it rises from its ashes and dazzles us with its rainbow colors.

Artists her age don’t chart anymore really. Radio stations don’t play their songs regardless of how good they are. Its dumb, but its also a business. They have to cater to what younger people wanna hear in order to secure that ever important advert dollar.

Kylie you have been my favorite pop star since I heard you for the first time in the eighties. You have been nothing but a delight to follow for four decades. You are so talented and beautiful, yet humble and you've never once let your ego run rampant like some other pop stars from your generation who are now totally dislikeable or gotten yourself involved in some disagreeable controversy or pandered to the media for the sake of staying relevant. I also love that you are aging naturally, and beautifully. I will support you until the day I die.

This is radio's downfall too. When a more established artist has newer releases, they rarely promote/play them unless it's an instant big selling hit. Otherwise, their newer releases rarely get played. And that's why radio has become tedious (to me, anyway.)
