ggs! I was purple this game. Pink going for the bonus that I had a 5 stack in on turn 1 threw me off, and then it was made worse because for some reason my dice were not set to blitz at the start of the game and I lost a troop from it. Only realized central Atlantic was a good idea on turn 2. Also you were 1000% right about getting a 2 out of my way so I wouldn’t break you with the 6 because I literally went into the game with the logic of “Kylted is a good enough player to not get into a war of attrition so I should probably find a reason to break him at least once because I don’t think I’ll face dire consequences” but then you did me a favor getting your 2 out of the way and I would’ve felt bad so I didn’t follow through on that. I did die to you though so maybe things play out differently if I pointed at the remaining 2, sent a frowny face pretending to be mad, and broke with the 6 and retreated? but I find that doubtful as I had no set on 4 during a crucial time in the game anyways. Very well played Edit: in hindsight, a much more crucial error on my part was probably opening up your 12 to kill me and not attacking off my 15 on the right to keep your 12 locked from me

GG man. It was tricky since I was supposed to only get the 3rd set but speedster and green trading on 3 on the 2nd set of trades actually fully set me up. Speedster said he traded early to try to increase the trades so someone would try to kill me before my turn, and since they didn't I actually had the opportunity to go for it. If you had any troops guarded somewhere then I probably can't get you though and it would have got quite interesting. I think maybe you could have broke me once, but that would have only prevented me from 3 troops one time and possibly made me look at more ways to negatively hit you that werent too costly... so I don't think there would have been any real benefit there but maybe

@@Kylted hard to say really, I think maybe I should have moved to the bottom left early on with my stack and not into the middle closer to myself but I was pretty scared of pink being a noob about my 7 in his bonus (hence me saying “I surrender!” when he added 3 up top because I thought he was maybe going for revenge and planning on sitting in my bonus for sitting in his

This was so freaking hard to watch.. damn. That overconfidence early in the game, “90 seconds is sooo long I should have so much time to plan it out and secure the 70 for sure!” Bit us in the ass eh?

hahahaha yep. I actually miscounted and thought I had the 47 without even needing to roll the top corner so I wasnt as concerned with that final stack and was more concerned with just taking the rest.... being 1 territory shy hurt and then losing the 71% blitz roll on that final attack hahah.

What a complicated game mode! At least you had 90s in which to rue your mistakes and everybody else's! But I think round 2 should have been straight prog. Too steep a learning curve to go straight from classic fixed to prog 70%. Then round 3 prog caps without fog, round 4 this. I don't know. Let people try the basic settings before ramping up difficulty and luck factor. Hope you do better next tournament game, GG.

Man, I should have milked some more bounties in my R2. I ended up going for 2 bounties, and a guaranteed 70% because I did not have a line on any additional bounties ;p to keep a cool leveled head when making those decisions really makes all the difference 🙂 good luck in the next round

Correct me if I’m wrong but surely at 39:40 blue should attack pinks 1 next to your 5 and move all his troops there, if he had done that then white wouldn’t have been able to kill you. Lots of mistakes by other players in this game.

His actual correct play was to kill me which would trigger a card trade in, and then he would get to do exactly what white did and win the game.. but he seemed focused on other things.

67 territories, not 47. In 70% I always think in percent rather than territory numbers, and it's almost exactly 1.5% per territory edit: 47 to *win* you said. My bad, I misheard

My r2 ended on round 6, the first players turn. None of us saw his line. I dont think any game or practice ended that fast.

Damn and I thought my game was painful to play 60 troops would be 70 4 cards no set in 5th position 1st position clears a path for red trying to go for 70 gets 60% and red in 2nd position has an effortless 70 but no bounties are taken 6 points is better than 4 I guess
