I have noticed that gukesh is also getting this kind of praise "plays like a human" although he is maybe more calculating where Erigaisi seems more intuitive. But it's really nice to see this change in top level chess, away from computer chess, and towards romantic human chess. The queen dance in the third game was very nice 8-)

I have been following Arjun's game for about 3 years now.....and what I understood was his hunger for winning games ....this man always used to play unconventional moves often leading to worse positions and then defend like a monster.... So his games were rarely a draw from early on.... The amount of risks that he took many times used to backfire but eventually his risk taking class of chess is really paying off these days.....huge respect🙇🙇

@@terautkarshlol magnus is still higher rated, wait on those tissues till arjun actually surpasses him, for now you may use those. Besides Arjun has yet to beat magnus hikaru Fabiano nepo etc or even levon who is playing in this tournament, the true old guard. That's your best analysis that I've seen so far. I was looking at some of Erigaisi games but couldn't quite explain why he wins all the time. It was obvious to me that he has amazing vision, amazing calculation ability, amazingly wide opening repertoire and amazing confidence. But I couldn't figure out how he wins the messy games, including those he is worse at. And you nailed it here in this video, and also presented it in a fun and educational way.
