Oh VMBox was the best, back then my parents had cable and yes mTV was actually good (yo! mtv raps and other specific shows esp) but the Box was always better imo - much more adventurous programming, esp electronic music and hip hop 👍 Ha, I have the cd still too.... also have the 12”s though as I’ve dj’d & collected for years. I always had a mad crush on her myself!

Listened to three Kym Sims tracks so far. She is a good singer, but the background music messes it up for me. Didn't click thumbs down, though. These songs could have been huge, if there was better pairing with her singing, in my view. I mean, they obviously charted, but I don't know who was ranking songs back then. Usually, the ears listening make sense on those calls. They don't make sense to me on this. Maybe on the power of her singing and the sounds of the day, they were ranked that high, but these aren't nearly as good as the other dance songs back then. Not like all the other techno, house, hi-NRG, or anything else like that. They sound like they have pieces of other great songs or influenced later (better) songs. Like I hear I "Everybody Everybody", "Can You Feel It" (years after this song, clearly), "Breaking All The Rules" (years after), Oo Ah Just A Little Bit (years after), "Let The Beat Hit 'Em", "I Like to Move It" (years after), "Free" (years after), "I Want You (Savage Garden)".
