8:10 "Basically no argument to play cluever Kymani"? They have access to Lockpicks, Thieves' Kit, Pilfer, Lola Santiago, and Gene Beauregard in class, and their tool access gets them Microscope and Old Keyring. Kymani is a great cluever who can use their ability to manage enemies when needed.

To add concurrence to this, Microscope (4) doesn't exhaust to place evidence on it, so their double-evasion can serve as the fastest consistent single source for Microscope Evidence you can have, and the five starting XP makes it a much easier option to buy into for Cluever Kymani. If there aren't enemies to dodge, you then use Microscope for a 6 to 8 Intellect Investigate that gives you 3-4 clues at once.

@@Pseudonym_83 That last line is more or less what I'm talking about (as well as Microscope being in the list of clue finding cards). It sounds to me like you're describing a flex. It's clue leaned, sure, but contributing towards enemies is a very important part of that deck's game-plan.
@Pseudonym_8311 күн бұрын
@@RatherIncoherent I guess I have no idea what you mean by cluever if a deck that has 0 enemy management cards in it is considered flex.
@RatherIncoherent11 күн бұрын
@Pseudonym_83 The flex deck I showed only had 2 backstabs more than what you're talking about. 2 blurs as well, maybe? It's not about the number of cards. It's about the output of the cards you run. Kymani is a fighting card. The investigator is worth a lot of fighting output. If you're assuming you dodge enough for Microscope to be good, you aren't asking people to protect you either. You're dealing with your own enemies. It's not the card count that matters. It's the output and what they do for the team.

Tool allowing them to get Microscope and riot whistle is honestly good enough

Glad to see other commenters have already brought it up, but add my voice to the chorus of "Microscope is the big miss of the video" I totally grant that it lacks the consistency of Thieves' Kit since it can't go into Underworld Market. But the ceiling is so much higher that in the majority of situations the clue gain will still outpace Thieves' Kit. And while Microscope may not be drip economy, it does cost 1 less resource to play (functionally 2 less without the Underworld Market tax). I don't know that it's clearly better or worse than Thieves'' Kit, but it's definitely notable enough to be part of the conversation.

I prefer my Kymani running Microscope (4)s with using stealth to take on non victory point enemines. Incredible flex capablities. Mid scenario until the end you have huge clue burst potential.
@Dadsquatch38411 күн бұрын
Gonna agree on 1 upgraded microscope for scenario 1. I'll add more thoughts in the discord but I think there is a flex kymani that utilizes microscope rather well.
@sevento711 күн бұрын
I agree with everyone else. Cluever Kymani is great. Microscope is really strong. I often feel like after a bit of upgrading Grappling hook is easily the worst card, which is sad.
@KrishnaRoskin11 күн бұрын
You do a free engage after enemies attack. So if your teammates can take a hit, you can pull the monsters off them.
@RatherIncoherent11 күн бұрын
@@KrishnaRoskin To my understanding, this is wrong. They exhaust, but they do not disengage. Edit: He's 100% right. I misunderstood what he was suggesting. There's no restrictions to using Kymani's ability after attacks during enemy phase.
@dragonhawk0011 күн бұрын
@RatherIncoherent i think this commenter may be right. Kymani doesn't specify if they have to be engaged already or not, just exhausted, and there is a fast window after attacks before upkeep.
@RatherIncoherent11 күн бұрын
@dragonhawk00 Oh I misunderstood. Yeah, Kymani's ability doesn't specify unengaged or during your turn. That does work.
@Dagotar13011 күн бұрын
I've found stealth vs blur is not correct. 2 blur 1 stealth has been good for both consistency and power.
@dragonhawk0011 күн бұрын
Blur (4) is fun in kymani. Engage and evade and be action neutral is nice (minus the asset play). I didn't do anything besides lockpicks and trip snakes when I played Kymani through TFA, but this flex deck, that works for campaigns without vengeance, seems interesting. I do want to play the bow.

Ahhh Miss Kymany playing her now in Scarlet Keys for the first time. She's cool, very cool indeed.
@thepwn12111 күн бұрын
I hate kymanii. She has this awful ability that requires you to evade twice to maybe discard an enemy, and she staples on herself some of the worst cards that rouges have to offer and someone stumbles over the finish line in low B. If any other character had such an awkward ability and ran the worst cards in there card pool we would have to make an F tier
