Blue horrors are nit bad in this detachment either. They infiltrate which is nice with all your slow nurgle units and they also have a -1 leadership aura that stacks with all your other debuffs.

Finally someone gets the power of the Cankerblight. In right conditions it can take care of so many annoying characters that would otherwise need much more attention. And, hilariously, it can be used even on some fortifications, although no one take these.

Are you sure the asurmen example is correct? When the last dire avenger dies asurmen becomes a seperate unit and not required to take a test for under half health.

Are you sure on that ruling of maggot maws? I understand it to mean whether or not they pass or fail the BS test they only take mortals on a 3+

That's right! But you're already within 6"... so shadow! Meaning if they fail it they're taking d3 mortals anyway right? So why bother rolling the 3+... Because even if you fail the roll they still take the mortals.

Yea, but I'm saying that if you do roll it and fail the roll, then they take the mortals from shadow anyway? It doesn't say they don't take them if you fail. It says they don't take both if you succeed. So if they pass. On a 3+ they take mortals. If they fail. On a 3+ they take mortals, or on a 1/2 they take mortals anyway?

Also Foetid Resurgence looks like all units that come back have full wounds not just battleline. The difference is that battleline get d3 models back instead of just 1. Only monsters don't get a whole model back which makes sense because they are one model units; they get d3+1 wounds instead. For two CP i agree it's overcosted, although it could function as an insane bravery so not terrible.

Finally someone who is actually rating this detachment! Soon as i saw it iv been saying it looks solid mid game most things are gona be near a poxbringer, enough spam on battleshock to make it worth it, plaguebearers can get turbo'd to hell. Im 2 games in so far and both games my apponent has struggled to hold onto primary even secondaries can be distrupted fairly well. Next game 2 GUO rotigus 2 soulgrinders 40 plaguebearers 2 poxbringers a Scrivener some nurglings and some drones... thats a lot of meat to chew through :)

awesome stuff i know its a bit janky, but the abominant knight does well with nurgle in this detachment and is ANOTHER source of battle-shock and mortal wounds.

100% poxbringers! I also keep things like Rotigus in deep strike sometimes because he is so slow. Get him into a better spot.

You make me want to go full Nurgle... even though I own more Khorne daemons. But I watched a battle report full Khorne... it wasn't good. Nobody comes at 6 inches. The only way could be lots of bloodletters and dogos but a good a good amount of bolts and the game ends.

Rule question for the PRO Demon player concerning the warp rifts. "if it's set up wholly within 6" of one..." How does this work for single models? A soul grinder has a 160mm Base can I still place him next to a greater demon even though his base is too big? Officially... I guess now you need to build smaller soul grinders 😂😂🎉 right?

The 160 is only for Sigmar. In 40k they technically don't have a base so yes you can set them up! 😁

Whole I agree that the Nurgle detachment is insanely good and way better than a lot of people think it is, I gotta say Tzeentch is way stronger. I've played them both several times now and Tzeentch has a lot of small things that are really over looked, like not having to put models back on the table after uppie downie and the 4+ FNP against mortals to make pink horrors even harder to kill. I tanked a 6 man squad of exalted 8 bound today and took no wounds on my soul grinder, thanks to flux token rerolls

That's pretty insane! I just think that the tzeentch detachment can be played around a whole lot easier. There's not much damage in it, and not a lot of mid board threat. Overwhelming it would be much easier than the Nurgle side if that makes sense. More testing needed!
