My manual says to add 140 ml of gear oil I have a 2019 Kymco like 150. I changed mine yesterday so hopefully my manual is correct. Thanks for the info on doing this. Very helpful!

pwede po cya masilip sa kabilang side, accessible cya ng mahabang screw driver, pero mas madali po cyang i access pag nakatangal ang seats

On my 2020 Kymco Like 150i, there is an oil drain plug on the left side of the scooter, in addition to the drain plug with the oil screen. As I recall, Kymco calls for cleaning the screen on every other oil change. If not cleaning the screen, the drain plug on the left side is a bit more convenient, in my opinion, though I consider both drains to be easily accessible.

In changing the gear oil, I would not add it to the engine oil to be discarded, but save it in a separate container, as it appears to come out quite clean, and can be used in your workshop for other lubricating jobs as needed. In regard to the CVT Filter, I would leave it to soak in the requisite cleaning solution overnight. With the air filter, I'd leave it's outer cover off, then clean the CVT Filter, as it gives easier access to the CVT cover's top bolts with the Air Filter cover removed, then reassemble in reverse order. I pick up my new Kymco 150 FI in a few days. Cheers and ride safe everyone...

Thanks. Just put the first 500 miles on mine (2018 150i) and doing the first oil change. Anything else I should do? I was wondering ho how many miles or km you had on yours.. 5000? Any other advice for me ?

My mileage is roughly 7200 miles (11700+ km) i suggest to change all the fluid including the gear oil and follow our service manual. Bring it to your dealership for the first maintenance or if you really want to DIY you can follow the steps on this video as i did this on my first PMS

Thanks for the video. This morning I noticed 2 or 3 oil spots in my garage where I’ve been party scooter for about 10 days now. . I have a Kymco like 150 with only 162 miles so I’m surprised it’s leaking from the drain plug. I haven’t tried to tighten it yet but guessing that might do the trick. Anyway you helped me identify where the plug was. Do you think I just try tightening up?

try to tighten it first but be very careful not to over tight it could damage your thread in the drain bolt. if it doesnt do the trick try to put sealant/silicone gasket around the bolt but the first option should do it

@@bosslakay507 thanks for the reply. I ended up taking in and they said it was residual oil above the gear drain plug area and nothing to worry about. But I scheduled to have the dealership do my first 1000 km service. I do think I’ll try my own maintenance once my warranty is up after 2 years.

Not sure boss kung meron sa lazada pero try nyo tanong sa dealer nyo kung saan yung mga 2s and 3s shop sa area nyo sila po kasi authorize distributor ng mga parts

Boss tanung ko lng po.ilan tinakbo bago palitan ng air filter at linisan ang cup. sa baba na my maliit na filter.kasi my kymco ako like 150 noodo 2,567 palang tinakbo nya.

Sa air filter boss base sa manual 7000 cya pinapalitan pero for me everytime na mag change oil ako nagpapalit ako which is every 2000km kasi daily driven ko po cya at sa area ko mejo maalikabok pero i advice na every change oil inspect nyo cya para makita kung for replacement or pwede nyo sundin manual natin. Yung sa cup boss anong cup po yun? Kung yung sa drain bolt boss yung may filter na maliit evry change oil din po makikita naman po dun sa filter kung madumi na everytime na mag drain ng oil.

air filter can clean with rinse gasoline, then finishing add mixed gasoline + two_stroke_oil into paper filter. Wait half to one hour for evaporation gasoline from paper filter.

yung parang magnet boss kung san naka kabit yung wire mejo maselan lang kaya konting ingat lalo na sa likod pag nagkamali ka ng pwesto ng spacers masisira yung abs sensor.

What is the hole below the gear oil filler bolt. I accidentally put gear oil in there. Does it go to the same place? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

para sakin boss ok na ok cya di ka mabibitin sa power kung concern mo po is yung service hanap kayo ng kymco certified or yung maalam sa g5 gy6 engine which is very common naman po sa scooter engine kaya madali lang makahanap ng gagawa. kung brandnew naman po under warranty yan ng dealer na pinagbilhan.

Kymco gear oil SAE 80W 90. You can also use other brand

There's no oil filter, only "Oil screen" at 1:24.

@@bosslakay507 one more thing friend. The gear oil is at 120ml. Will it harm it if you go over, or under in filling it up? Because there's no measure indicator like the engine oil.

@@IAmSamThatIAM i dont think it will harm if it goes over the limit because the 120ml is just the approximation for the capacity of our scoot. I personally put morethan the recommended so that the gear oil will reach the level of our gears

gear oil is 0.18L exchange capacity ( in manual of Like 150i 2018 model )

My 2019 manual gear oil capacity is 0.14L or 140 ml. But I get a slight leak so I’m thinking 120 ml is correct and the manual is actually wrong. It’s leaking from the gear box breather near the fill

I bought a new one and am about to do the first oil change but the oil plug is on tight as heck. Has anyone experienced this. (I literally looked up this video because it was on so tight that I thought I was trying to uncrew the wrong thing)

Maybe you're turning it the wrong way sir you may damage the thread for overthitening and it may cause a big problem. If not it is supposed to be easy to unscrew. Try to wait cooling the engine first.

@@bosslakay507 my God dad got a pair of vice grips and some lube and we managed to get it off without completely stripping it. The manufacturer just extremely tightened it. But now that it's been changed, I dont have to worry about the hassle again.

@@demonheart13 the manufacturer did the opposite on mine. I discovered it’s leaking oil from the drain plug this morning. Only 162 miles on it but it was sitting for a year and a half at the dealership. It was a leftover 2919 and now I’m a little suspicious of how new it actually was.
