Kym, you are very lucky to get an aircraft with a special NBA livery. I remember back in 2017, I flew Emirates from Singapore to Melbourne. The aircraft I got had a special Arsenal F.C. livery on that particular Airbus A380 (A6-EUA). It is always nice to fly on an aircraft with a special livery or even the Star Alliance, Skyteam and Oneworld livery.

I hate being poor 😊 I flew the Emirates A380 economy class from Dubai to Sydney 10 years ago and even the economy offering was a pleasure. It was a gift from our son to fly us to Australia to visit him for Christmas. As soon as we boarded there was no break from the flight attendants offering towels, snacks and drinks in between the meals. Everything was excellent but I still regret not taking up the offer of an upgrade to businesses class on the return leg for €700!

The worst part about flying Emirates first class is touchdown.... I flew them 2 times in first and i loved every and my mean every second of it. If you ever have the chance, do it!

Congratulations on your F1 photography awards Kym. For those who care I was told to never book paid flights out of Dubai because Emirates charge a premium. Try doing 2 one way bookings, but haven't really checked as I don't live in the UAE and I try to buy fares on sale, but the flight going to Dubai would be cheaper, or even nest a group of tickets if you can plan it well. I haven't flown on the EK 777 for over 1o years, nothing too special for me but the A380 is definitely a special aircraft and EK are going to need to do something extra in their premium cabins or they are going to loose out to other carriers if they continue to use their current twin engine aircraft configurations as those products look to be just industry average when they start to retire the A380 in the 2030's. In regards to the beef out of Dubai, I was told by an EK chef that what they do is just sear the steaks to get the crust on it, so when they reheat it on the aircraft it comes out medium rare. Most other ports aren't allowed to do this for food safety reasons but YMMV. My best steak though was on Qantas out of LHR, that was perfect. Anyway thanks for your varied content I really enjoy your travel videos as much as your F1 related content.

With the 4 minute shower, can you pause the water supply to extend the time a little? i.e. a “navy shower” where you conserve water while lathering.

I’ll be interested to see what you think about the Singapore airlines suite I’ve travelled a few times recently in first class obviously It’s a very unusual ordinary product the seat position and the way it all works is a little pointless. It’s a waste I’ll be travelling the new triple 7 on emirates soon looking forward to it

I fly on the Emirates A380 DXB-SYD regularly and one time found myself & my teenage daughter as the only 2 people in the 1st cabin. The flight attendant offered my daughter a 15-minute shower (via a special setting somewhere) because she had “long hair” and would she like to wash it 😂

You seemed to prefer the Airbus interior. That makes the decision easy. Better interior and a better manufactured aircraft. If you do use Boeing just be sure not to read insider anecdotes on Boeing's safety shortcuts.
