But Franco had to get into a car in the same or worse conditions than Jack. Without knowing the circuits, without having driven an F1 (except Silverstone once), Franco in 3 days had to change from F2 to F1, and he proved to be a great pilot, he reported the accidents beforehand by radio. It's the same or worse pressure and no one felt sorry for him. On the contrary, we all support him and even demand to win. I don't see the difference. Except that nobody buys a driver for many millions, already having another. What Briatore saw in Colapinto, we all saw: a diamond in the rough. A great future driver, with a lot of guts, with a lot of charisma and very young who will be competing in a few races... (that's also a lot of pressure, and isn't that what F1 is about?). And Jack will have already shown himself and can go to another team. greetings

I knew this was going to happen for sometime. Flavio seems to have been expressing buyers’ remorse about Jack from the very beginning. The signals have been clear. My heart goes out to Jack. He’ll be out of the Alpine car within six races. NO F1 team pays millions of dollars to get somebody out of a contract on another team to a multi your deal to make them a reserve driver. We all know where this is going. Given Franco‘s rather prodigious crashing toward the end of the season, I’m sure his value went down and there’s no way that Williams got £20,000,000 for his services anymore

Esteban Ocon left to pursue better chances for debut in Mercedes, Guanyu Zhou and Oscar Piastri decided to debut on other team (Sauber and McLaren, respectively), Christian Lundgaard left the academy for IndyCar, and Max Fewtrell left the sport entirely. Whilst everything you’ve mentioned is true, another thing that’s true is Franco is and will continue to be a more marketable driver than Jack. Jack may get the support of some Australians, but that’s it. Oscar is the top Aussie driver in the grid now with Daniel bowing out last year. Money talks in F1 unfortunately.

Angry beyond measure, as a Doohan fan. Oh well. Colapinto will commit the same ertors as Alonso in his career, and then some. He is done to me.

doohan looks like one of those characters off one of those generic animated films i hate

Dude...Doohan has got nothing on Franco. Franco will shut everybody up. Stop crying for Jack Doohan. Briatore knows Doohan isn't as nearly as good as Franco.
