Had a chance to sit next to Bernhard Auinger last november. It was really fun! Btw. Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport (Porsche says it`s the most powerful 911 they have made). One of 200 only made. If I remember correctly, #029. Oh, and after 4 or 5 laps, knowing that there will be a heavy breaking before hairpin (something like 240->90 in ~2..3 seconds), HANS got to hold my head every single lap :D

Me and my brother were at Spa one time and somehow there was a gate open somewhere after La source. We and some 30 others ended up at the track at a crazy time like an hour or 2 before qualy or something. We were almost at the pit exit when we heard all the others were shouted back by police but we were just out of sight so we walked very quietly and decent down the pit lane like we belonged there. It was so epic and pure comedy. After like 5 minuted a very relaxed guy in a suit came up to us and all 3 of us were smiling and like: Ok that was enough fun you guys. And he very quietly and relaxed guided us to these electronic gates and there was 'No further action' Maybe the best example of deescalation I have witnessed. Thanks guy!!

I was a passenger in a prototype sport/supercar back in 2002 big V8, Carbon body etc, I was driven around the Alpine circuit at Millbrook proving ground in the UK by a professional test driver, we had only finished building the car that morning, I can honestly say it was one of the most terrifying moment of my entire life 🤢

I wouldn't think Spa was in a position to disappoint the fans even further. Good decision I am not going anymore. That kind of stuff makes me so pissed. Being allowed on the track is a very big part of the experience. It was a nice tradition Spa. Happy I got to experience it when it was still fun. When you didn't mind freezing and getting all your stuff soaked at the campsite because that meant and epic race. I can not even imagine how horrible it would be to be on that camping during a weekend like 95 and on top of all the harsh conditions you won't even get a race 😵 A weekend like that often costs you towards 1500 euro's including campsite, travel, food, tickets and 2 days off. Can't see how that is worth the risk.

Thank you for the clarification as why the start was delayed. Do you possible also have an answer as why we didn't for most of the race a timing tower on our screen? Usually I'm already a bit agitated because the FIA/F1 have a true knack for showing worthless information like the full name of the driver or the full type of the tire they on. The last one is redundant because this is already indicated by the color letter behind the interval or leader time page. I sometimes wonder if the people in charge of the graphical overlay have any affinity with the motorsport, but now we didn't had any information at all...

Yes, but some (many?) on here be offended if I write it here. He used the word “fucking” followed by a term describing the mental ability / level of intelligence of some drivers when several drivers were delaying others in the pitlane from getting onto track (the FIA should be throwing the book at the offending drivers, not Yuki who was clearly frustrated and possibly compromised in quality!). I think the FIA overstretched and overreacted with Yuki.

david coulthard is always funny. i will miss his comments since in france f1 tv has been asked to stop broadcasting by the government. i can't stop crying like hundred other french subscribers to this channel. the only other broadcaster available is $45 per month, while f1 tv was $45 per year. and french commentators always have alpine and charles leclerc's back (because they're also the monaco's broadcaster) which is kinda not very neutral. i loved to listen 3 times the race with 3 differents audio feed to get more opinions. this was clearly the most amazing time i have watching f1, also featuring 3 commentators because they have a double room, since they shared their crew with channel 4. i won''t watch f1 again this year, between gym membership, youtube premium, french f1 broadcast, it's more than 100 € per year, without restaurant or movie theatre. cherry on the cake i shared my pain on reddit saying subscribing from another country through vpn should be allowed and within minutes i get thousand hateful messages.
