I mean, I watch Kyo's future creative endeavors now and occasionally watch clips/highlights of a certain dead guy and bug lady But it depends on how desperate they are to continue watching their oshi and if they actually liked the person behind the model

I think it depends on whether you’re in it for the person behind the character or for the character itself. If you’re the former, you wouldn’t have trouble adjusting to their new persona, whereas for the latter not being able to see the model move and not being able to associate the person with the character would essentially mean that the persona has died in their eyes, and even if they enjoyed the new content, it still wouldn’t be the same.

I think it’s also a case where people don’t always just watch one talent on their own. Some people enjoy a larger group dynamic and seeing them all interact together. Yes Kyo’s still around and a lot of old fans still watch him, but they also miss getting to see him as Kyo and his interactions with the other livers, as well as the community they may have had. They’re still streaming and it’s overall an improvement for them, but it’s still a different experience and not everyone will vibe with it quite as much.

the one they just had was in 2d. the one they had before(the one that was previously cancelled), honestly i have no idea why it looked like that. who ever they hired for the lightning did a subpar job. (probably was it was postponed) ive seen their other 3d concerts and they are miles ahead. at least the one Elira did when they first announced her 3d looked good. their jp concerts also looks really good(similar to how the hololive ones looks). i guess its a budget issue. they probably have a separate budget for EN and JP instead of a combined one and the guy in charge on EN didnt want to invest too much(Riku is only in charge of JP. another guy is in charge of overseas branches(forgot his name))

@@shadoface idk if the only thing you saw were the few leaked low quality screenshots or the actual concert, but imo the 3D concert recently does look really good. Tho I get that it doesn’t look as crisp as the more known kind of 3d concert that you might’ve seen. This is because the recent niji EN concert uses AR technology, in normal 3d concert, the idol/streamer/liver will be in a virtual 3d environment, they are in their own world with controlled lightning, meanwhile, in AR they are projected into our “real world”, they perform on a physical stage and their model will be affected by real-world lighting and enviroment, this will give the effect that the models are actually existing and interacting with the real world. This is much more complex and in turn will take away some of the “shine” of the 3d model, but I think the results are worth it. Idk about holo but niji have done stuff like this before, you can search up “リアルタイムarライブ” to see it, that was 2 years ago though and the recent concert does looks way better. Sorry for the long text lol I saw a lot of ppl confused about how AR LIVE differs from their others 3D concert, this is definitely not a budget issue, just a stylistic choice
