Chopin competition 2021 has been popping up of my youtube lately and I have been loving all these finalists' winning pieces. Kyohei Sorita in my book has the personality of a rockstar and a well-rounded artist. Watching Aimi Kobayashi and Kyohei is really an eye candy for me. Millions of Asians suffered under Japanese imperialist rule. They were murdered, subjugated, experimented, raped, etc. I hope the Polish people understand what Chinese, Koreans, Filipinos, Indonesians, and others went through. They were stripped of their human rights, livelihood, and even talent like this weren't even available to them. The Japanese took it all from them. The Polish would know this from WWII. It's important to recognize the past to prepare for a better future. But, the Japanese government still deny to this day their wrongdoings. Cabinet members shifting their stance on the topic left and right. It's so shameful.
