Kyosho Blizzard Brushless

Kyosho Blizzard with Castle Creations 4600 and 2S lipo. I destroyed the stock body within a week so the Hummer body was modded to fit. The are two sets of lights from www.billscustom... and make night driving mega fun.

@dennylolos This is what I have put into it so far, -Blizzard kit $230 -Sidewinder esc/4600kv engine $150 -Reciever/transmitter $50-100 -Custom lighting $50 -Parts and Fabrication $50 Alot of this you could find on ebay for cheaper, the body came from a 12 year old Nikko hummer so that will be hard to find. The fabrication was sheet metal used for the under body and all the bushings were replaced with bearings because of the upgrade to lipo.

@poohtray Pretty good for about a year, but hard to keep the tracks on and the the only thing that has broken is the knuckle that connects to the diff.

@dhudson369 Lol A few lights does not require a 6s battery upgrade. The 2s runs those lights and truck just fine. Maybe a 3s tops for that and not for the lights either. I wouldn't go over a 3s cause you couldn't keep the tracks on it with anything more.

Thats Really Cool I Just Purchased My Kyosho Blizzard EP-300 I Still Have To Buy The Steering Servo And Throttle Servo A Batterey And Controller But Winter Is Soon So I Cannot Weight.

@TheAmericanUhate I am actually thinking this winter I am going to buy a 5000mah 3s lipo, but i am going to have to find a way to keep the tracks on. I will be posting some more vidios of the blizzard with the Gopro HD as well.

@Chris07860All the weight is in the back end of the blizzard because my lipo is back their with a upgraded servo and the body mounts, but otherwise it is very light in the front because everything is lightweight up there.

@Chris07860 They are pretty hard to find these days, but I occasionally see one pop up on ebay. If you find one take it while it is there, because it will be taken fast. The cost for a brand new one would be around $220, but i have seen a used one before that went for $100.

@999benhonda At that time I was using a 20 tooth pinion, but i changed to a 14 tooth gear because the motor was getting toasty. :)

@dennylolos It depends on how hard i run it, but if I push it pretty hard it will still give me a 30+ minute run.

I don't understand why the whole front end flys up whenever you give it throttle. I'm assuming it's very light in the front?

im putting a vxl system, 3300kv in my blizzard. what sized pinion gear did you use? that body with lights looks really cool. i got my blizzard as a roller without a body, so i will have to do something like what you did!
