The thing that always disappointed me with most gacha or even normal open world games is that you could never have a visible impact on the world. Any NPC settlements would never expand or improve and the wilderness would always be filled with dangerous enemies. It didn't FEEL like you achieved something even if you killed the big bad evil boss and all the NPCs told you how much safer the world became. You couldn't see the impact. I love that we're basically slowly industrializing Talos II here.

Endfield is mostly their own thing due to their setting being at least hundreds years later, it should be fine. It does however have some terminology unique to the arknights universe, like oripathy and the races. But you can look it up fairly easily. Other than that knowing some Arknights lore would help to understand some things (like references) better but it's not necessary and simple explanation for basic understanding exist in Endfield.

I feel like this game won't do well for streaming. will have low viewers compared to other gacha games. a lot of the base management is boring to watch as a viewer if you're not super interesting in factario like gameplay. and half the time in this stream was spent on the base. not saying the game is bad, but as STEAMING game, not a fan.
