I know we only see snippets of their lives but Genki looked like she was ready to pop Gentaro upside the head! And Momo always gets food first. But Gentaro chasing Momo down was impressive and I love to hear Kinnys high pitched battle cry!

Maybe the keepers shouldn't give the food to Genki and the rest until Momotaro has his food 1st to avoid the others getting hurt. Or if Momotaro comes out of the room late than close the doors and leave him in until after the others have eaten. Poor Genki is getting too old for those kind of attacks from Momotaro and besides, Kintaro can easily get hurt while in the midst of those skirmishes. It's one of the ways baby gorillas get hurt or killed in the wild when their's fights between them. Baby gorillas will hold on to their mothers for dear life.

ゲンタロウがモモタロウにちょっかいをかけて遊んでいると ゲンキママが二人が喧嘩していると勘違いしてモモタロウを注意することが結構あるようなので そんなに悪い関係でも無いようですね。 他にもゲンタロウがモモタロウを追いかけ回して遊んでいて、逃げまわるモモタロウの動画もありますし。 キンタロウをゲンタロウが一瞬引っぱってしまったのをモモタロウに叱られ、ゲンキママが仲裁に入る動画も素敵でした。

The question isn't how much food they have at disposal the question is that Momotaro is the dominant male. If you pay atention to others dominant males they will do the same thing regardless how much food are given to them.In my opinion Momotaro compared to others is very calm about food issues because Its pretty normal that dominant gorillas often steal food using violence.

So the zookeepers could've waited to feed them or close the door while Momotaro was sleep and feed the others then let him out.

Momotaro is the silverback. He has to protect the youngest and his wife. Do you think he does NOT see what mean things Gentaro does to Mother and the vulnerable baby? How anxious Kintaro is? How he always climbs away Gentaro comes? Did you see how Gentaro grabbed Kintaro and pulled him away though Kintaro was afraid and tried to get rid at 6:something? Did you see how Gentaro hurt his mother? And beneath that, that raping and so on shows Momotaro Gentaro ist starting to becoming an adult male, and that means he will leave his troop and Gentaro wants to be chief (which does not work out, since Gentaro rapes his brother and will do it to his mother, too, and that will make them receiving children by incest, which is not good for animals, and special for high socialised and developed like primates. It is not at all Momotaro. All is because of Gentaro 's behaviour. I never would have thought Kintaro would/could become so fed up with Gentaro. That zoo does not care for the troop. They cannot look calm while Gentaro does all time cruel things to entertain himself. Genki is already old. And Kintaro could be hurt badly by this growing up ape, not to mention his soul can get injured forever by the cruelty and the raping. When Kintaro grows up snd becomes a mean ape which bites his keepers and other apes, it comes from Gentaro 's behavior nowadays. Momotaro is not all mean or greedy or whatever. He chases Gentaro to keep him in his, Gentaro 's, place in the troop. The wife and the baby are in danger and it is his duty to protect them.

Poor Genki Suffering from the heat & exhausted by nursing her baby she needs the extra food. Momotaro is just angry that he wasn't given any as is normal for a dominant male. The fact that he drops it when an angry Genki chases after him show's that he's not being aggressive. Then Gentaro decides he wants her food as well & she has to fight him off as well 🤷🏼‍♀️ It's no wonder she's exhausted 😂 but she's strong, smart & resilient & finally gets to eat ❤️😘😘

Yes it's natural in the wild...but these are gorilla's all born in captivity. So what does one expect the other gorilla's to do when the zookeepers know Momotaro is still in the room...wait until he wakes up? The zookeepers should have waited to feed them until Momotarp came out or close the door, feed the others and when they finished then let Momotaro out. The entire situation was in the hands of the zookeepers and could've been prevented.
