圓光寺は紅葉の名所として有名で、特に座敷の前の庭の紅葉が観光案内書によく載っていますね。私も30年程前、紅葉の季節に訪れたことがあります。最近は拝観者が多くて事前の予約が必要なのですね。

I recommend visiting "Eikando" and "Nanzenji," which can be explored together, the scenic streets of Arashiyama and the World Heritage site "Tenryuji," and the iconic "Kiyomizudera." Kiyomizudera is particularly enchanting during the limited-time evening illumination, making it a great nighttime option. Exploring Maruyama Park, combined with areas like Gion, is also a delightful choice. If you venture beyond the city, places like the Uji area, Kibune, Kurama, and attractions such as the Sagano Scenic Railway are also excellent tourist destinations.
