Japanese trains are on a different level to the rest of world . It’s fantastic that a nation still spend money on designing and building brilliant individual trains .

Because their govt actually cares that access to mass transit benefits the nation as a whole.

The railways in question are private companies in a hot market. They are incentivized to produce products that attract customers. From personal experience I can say that if you go out into the boonies where there’s only one company-often run at a loss by local government-it’s usually much more utilitarian. Out there you take what you can get.
@marcd6897
@marcd6897 Жыл бұрын
@@bubbledoubletrouble yes, that’s true, but if you compare it to a country like the US, nothing like this exists at all although there should be plenty of private competition possible, but instead all of their trains look like they were designed in the 60’s by metal welder engineers.

I adore Japan. It is worlds apart from many countries and particularly my own country the UK. I wish there were more traditions, respect and generally better behaved people here. Our trains are dreadful but sadly a train of this beauty wouldn’t last as people would vandalise it. That is the sad truth. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.

I agree with you in the UK people would have their feet up on empty seats, leave rubbish all over the place and they would write on the seats and walls and you would be lucky if you found the toilet working properly

Squidward train, Cursed Deer, dumpling on the ceiling, “holy ground” hahaha thank you for your humor and the trip to Nara! Really appreciated! Greeting from 🇺🇸 Wish we have trains like this here, is so crappy and yet it cost an arm and leg just to ride on trains that seriously need to upgrade even Canada cause our backyard is so scenic!

I love Kyoto. I wish I could live near Kyoto for at least one year. I would walk through all the temple, shrines, and shopping streets. In Kyoto bright lights and vivid colors are banned to preserve its traditional heritage. While I like Tokyo a lot. It’s a sensory overload with all its bright lights and video billboards. It’s like Times Square but everywhere 😂.

The Sweet Potato Express certainly does look very appetizing lol I think I prefer the Salon seats, even tho the Twin Seats' design with the chairs facing the window was very cozy-looking. The gummy couches won me over. Sasuga Japan, their trains are superior and on another level. Also I love seeing kids on school trips whenever there are travelogs like this. I wish I'd gone on trips like this too when I was in school-- my school couldn't afford trips to another state so we went to a museum in the city instead.
