OMG, I don't understand Japanese, but I can see the instructor trying to rush the banner girls. A total ignorance of the characteristics of the guest band.

Very enjoyable perade performances ! Pleasant music and adorable steps.Good recordings of sound and the whole team marching formation.Thanks ! Very much appreciate the saxophone !
Thanks for sharing, I've been a fan of the Tachibana band since the 2018 Rose Parade in Pasadena California. It has changed many things but its quality and innovation is always the best. They are for now the best ambassadors of Japan. I want to go back to Pasadena in January 2025 to see you again!!!

Please help to spread this awareness. In 2018 Rose Parade each KT band student and their alumni had to pay ¥40,000 (USD3,700) each from their own pockets just to go and provide FREE SHOWS to rich Americans. When KT Band won BEST BAND contest the band received only a USD2,500 cheque. I consider this an exploitation by Americans of Young Girls and boys of KT SHS Band and their alumni. IMHO, KT Band Students should either be fully sponsored or at least crowdfunded. if they are "invited" (=presurred) to go to RP2025. Taiwan is more righteous. The KT band members had to pay nothing to go and perform in Taiwan for 6 days in October 2022.

@@set3777I regret not having knowledge of these important details such as the economic. Well, the parade is an activity of great prestige worldwide and it would be fair to sponsor at least the passages of the invited bands. We can't even imagine the expenses they incurred in logistics, accommodation, food and everything else. Heavy responsibility for parents and all the institutions that collaborated to make this a reality

@@gastonvillarroel7548 Some more info:- Mr. Kumagai of the Green Band Association (GBA) did OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET top up over budget expenses and he had helped some students who could not afford to pay the 40,000yen There were also many American families who hosted the KT girls and boys in their homes for 2 days (over Chrismas) out of their 12 days. GBA did negotiated with JAL to not charge the girls and boys for excess luggages fees (heavy musical instruments could to be transported without extra charges). BUT JAL did not give the girls and boys free travel. (KT Band has recently received some sponsorship by SUN.CHLORELA supplements for travel to Tokyo and other local Japanese cities.)
Love my Banner Girls! You ROCK!!! As a former flag twirler, the flag girls always have my heart!!! I love how you can "sing along," not all arangements done for marching bands are insantly recognizable.

It'a time for coach Yoko to steep aside. He was to much of a show off, he put himself ahead of the kids He just pushed, shoved and grabbed a girl by the neck. The Rose Parade was for the students, not him.
There is something wrong with your photographic equipment - I am viewing this in HD, people on the same side of the street are reasonably well defined, the band however is poorly defined, while people on the far side of the street are barely distinguishable as individuals. It's like your using a fish-eye lens and then zooming in... 9:13 is an example of what I am trying to describe - crowd this side = ok, band = poor, crowd on far side = mush. Your video does capture the street atmosphere of the parade so thank you for posting.

A law does not allow showing strangers' faces without their written permission? So filters are often applied to blur faces before posting videos.

@@set3777 "filters are often applied to blur faces before posting videos" - that is simply not true. I have seen scores of videos of bands in Japan marching in the street or in buildings open to the public and *not one* has deliberately used a filter to blur faces.
@set3777 Жыл бұрын
@@gagatube Decent people do state in the description that the Band have approved them uploading that particular video. But nobody can actually get approval from all random people on the street so filters are applied on faces of random street people. Showing their hair from the back clearly is ok. But sometimes video uploaders had been asked to remove filters applied to band members too.

@@set3777 Unless copyright laws are different in Japan from those in *every Western nation,* nobody needs anyone's permission. What you do in public is public and anyone can photograph it. When they do _the photographer_ owns the copyright, the individual or the band have no rights over the images. So, again, what you say makes no sense to me.
