Kyrgyzstan TU-154M│Takeoff During Storm│Germany, Berlin-Tegel 31.03.15

I have flown in this plane from Istanbul, Turkey to Düsseldorf, Germany with now long defunct Green Air that had a wet lease on the plane with its russian crew. Oh what a flight it was. First of all, during take off you feel as if you are sitting on an ICBM thanks to the immense thrust of engines. The seats were folding picnic seats (almost). Then I asked to visit the cockpit (in those days it was possible) and was invited to do so. Four people in the cockpit: captain, first officer, navigator and a turkish captain in training. I asked the turkish captain how his russian was coming along and how he was going to read russian dial and gage annunciations; his answer was simple: we will tape english translation on all of them. What a response! After a while of chitchatting I asked the navigator whereabouts we were. He very calmly took out a folded air map from his jacket pocket and took out his dividers and did a few motions with its tip to arrive at the final conclusion: We must be somewhere around Graz, Austria. I could not take it any more and returned to my seat. And the landing? Well the airplane eventually met with the earth... Let's leave it at that!

Klasse die alte TU-154 M, schade das der Sound durch die Autobahn nicht so rüber kommt. Dafür kommt aber der Fuchs bei 1:50 Min.

Yeah, full flaps... a bit long usage I think... flaps are really dangerous on theTy-154. They must be retracted in short time after take-off... They can lose speed...
