Jeg har lett flere ganger gjennom livet etter akkurat denne versjonen av Kyrie ❤ Denne som jeg hørte en eneste gang som en ung jente, sunget av et kor fra Kroken eller lignende sør i Norge. Jeg glemte den aldri, og gjentok de få strofene jeg kunne huske, med det lille av melodi som var igjen, år etter år med jevne mellomrom. Og nå endelig har jeg funnet den. Jeg er ikke lenger 16-17 år, men 40. Tårene triller med teksten og melodien fra ungdommen min. Den treffer meg mer enn noen gang.

Marcin Podolecki What might seem mystic is at the same time quite clearly revealed. Check two of the Bible passages they reference in Luke 15:11-32 and Luke 23:39-43. If we want to turn away from what is bad for us and seek our Father that loves us so deeply there's quite a promise for us. That's what the song is about, but Greek and Norwegian is not very understandable haha :) Also check Colossians 1:15-23 if you are curious, it explains a lot behind the two other passages :)

The chorus is in Greek: "Kyrie Eleison" means "Lord, have (show) mercy". The verses are in Norwegian. Each of them re-tell stories from the New Testament: Verse 1 is the parable of the prodigal son. From the gospel of Luke chapter 15 verses 11-32. Verse 2 is the story of the woman caught in adultery, where Jesus defends her against the mob. Gospel of John, chapter 7. Verse 3 is about the robbers that were crucified together with Jesus. Gospel of Luke, chapter 23, verses 26-42

And in the second part of the song they sing in a different language I dont know, but it must norwegian, since they are from Oslo (capital of Norway).

You can achieve to Heaven in Orthodox, Muslim and Catholicism too. Religion is good, but hatred is bad, thats the difference. Religion is a way to reconnect with your Creator. Peoples have sense for fate, moral, and spirituality and thats what is different from animals.
