Luka does so much for this team what a player. Takes pressure off all these guys and gets them good looks while doing it

At the 18 minute mark, the guy next to Stein continues fabricating propaganda and strange bias against Spencer Dinwiddie. Spence is driving past defenders getting to the lane at will, savvy in drawing fouls. What I've noticed is he's looking to score a little more than dishing. He still effectively drives and dishes and creates something out of nothing, but it appears the coaching staff is asking him to be more aggressive in seeking his shot. His 3 point jumper isn't as effective the past several games, but what's with the false narrative against Dinwiddie? Tim cato is committed to the dishonesty on all things Dinwiddie very much like Nick A. But why is this crew honing in on someone who is doing is his job? Why are yall saying straight up false things about Spence? The guy has a 4 to 1 assist to turnover ratio and is the one guy outside Kyrie who effectively draws fouls and gets to the FT line. He just needs his shot from distance to start dropping like a few weeks ago.

He's shooting 36.4 percent on drives, 29 percent on catch-and-shoot jumpers, and below 40 percent on tightly contested 2s. He had a really nice run for a few games but overall hasn't been consistently effective this season, in my opinion. That isn't propaganda or a false narrative. Thanks for watching though!

While I agree he has not been consistent this year--would you say since game 1 of the regular season, he has had a consistent, defined role? A lot of folks have expected 2022-2023 Dinwiddie productivity on a fraction of that usage. Is that objective to expect? Can you imagine if Luka or Kyrie had limited reps and usage but dealt with an onslaught of criticism as they tried doing whatever the coaching staff asked of them? Dinwiddie's 2022-2023 role was clear and it was easy for him to "go" (in addition to his time in BKN. Watch the 25 point game he had vs the Mavs last year with BKN). Since then, different teams ask him to do different things--which is why, in my view, he is thinking too much, way too in his thoughts analyzing the game (you can tell he is a very analytical and detailed person from his interviews), as opposed to simply reacting. You saw shots finally fall at the end of last night simply because he was reacting vs overhinking. Guys, Kyrie went 6/21 FG the other night probably because he was eager to get back to the game and contribute and wound up overthinking. Dinwiddie the recent stretch is the same. He is on a minimum deal. He tore his ACL before. He was screwed by BKN and traded away from Dallas prior to that, in a toxic environment in washington. He's trying to stay with his family in dallas and the guy cares about the concept of Team over ego. 4 to 1 assist to turnover. Better defense. Team player. Stays in shape hence no consistent injuries. I'd say that's leadership. You've seen him at his playmaker best dynamic creating wide open shots for others and hitting tough, clutch shots. The impact he has had. So my question to you and Cato is--why bash not only one of our own, but someone who has shown the capacity for that level of dynamic impact, and yet not hold the supermax player (who consistently doesn't stay in shape since 2020, hence injuries and not functional on defense/staying jn front of whoever he defends) to that level of criticism? Why hold a $2M one year guy to superstar level expectations; while simultaneously holding the supermax franchise player to a vet minimum player expectation and gloss over his defects? What makes Dinwiddie so different?

Watching the games, when he does get consistent minutes and reps, Spence is the one guy outside Kyrie and Luka consistently getting to the FT line so what you aired on the video is way off. He needs to stop overthinking about what his role will morph to and just react, the shots will fall. And then, hopefully, objectivity by those who have a platform to air their opinions and voices, will follow. Heck, yall cut Maxi slack for 3 straight years (I recall 2022 he couldn't buy a bucket consistently) yet he's getting paid a lot more and once again minimal criticism despite less contributions and a much longer tenure, bigger pay. You wonder why the disparity in criticism/lack of objectivity with these guys on all things Spencer Dinwiddie. Maybe it's his name that bothers them?

@@spooky-mulder he good with draw foul so keep doing that. Just stop with 3s if you're not hot. Give it to someone else.

The “guy next to Stein”. This just proves to me you aren’t really a Mavs fan if you don’t know who Bobby Karalla is….

Good show guys but constructively I think the show could use some “trust your eyes” guys along with the stat guys. Just being 100% analytical is not the way to view bball IMO. There could be more balance regardless of modern trends & the casual fanbase.

With similar kind of suspensions, I have 0 doubts the Celtics would have won this game. The Mavs just don't have enough. Nico has to make moves now. Too much unreliable players on the roster still.
