I never heard that Prophet Adam AS was created from stinking mud. I was taught that Allah SWT asked Jibrael AS to get the BEST soil from the earth. With all due respect, why would Allah SWT use stinking mud to create a phenomenal being? Everyone one on YT has their own opinions. It is better to stay with one or two sheikhs/teachers and just avoid all of them on YT. They make common muslims so confused as to what is authentic. This happens in all islamic studies- stories, hadiths, how to pray, etc.

Salamu Alaikum, I pray that you are well. If you look at Surah 15, verse 26, you will see that Allah says He created Adam (peace be upon him) from clay, that is مَّسْنُونٍ. The term مَّسْنُونٍ in Arabic has been described by many great scholars of Quranic interpretation as meaning "foul, stinking." It has also been described as مُتَغيِّر مُنتِن. You can check this in various tafaseers. Regarding where you take knowledge, I agree with you. You should find people that you trust who are of upright character and keep close to them. May Allah bless you on your path of knowledge, I wish you the best.
