The bass in kyuss so killer and underrated as fuck

Bit of a shame they had to play to a crowd full of real estate agents, but I'm genuinely appreciative that Garcia got a group together to play the Kyuss classics honestly

'tis great. What's the original?
@johnschleis4189 Жыл бұрын
@@CTBlaze It's called "Whitewater" by Kyuss. :D - I don't know what you know, but Kyuss broke up in 1995. Kyuss Lives! is some members of Kyuss that toured for a bit before former bandmates took legal action. Scott Reeder (2nd? Kyuss bassist after Nick Olivari) was actually in Kyuss Lives!, but joined Josh Homme in the lawsuit that pretty much ended KL. I don't remember the entire deal with why they did that, but it blows. I never got to see Kyuss, but at least got to see KL once. It was incredible.
@CTBlaze Жыл бұрын
@@johnschleis4189 not sure why you write all this, of course this is known. My question was referring to "Kyuss didn't write this song" above, hence I wanna know who did!
@joves3407 Жыл бұрын
@@johnschleis4189I saw Kyuss when they toured with Metallica shortly after releasing Blues For The Red Sun. They were awesome. There was a lot of talk at the time that they upstaged Metallica, but that’s not quite right. Metallica were touring their Black album, so were pretty unstoppable at that time. Fun fact from the show though. John Garcia stage-dived into the crowd during their set and security, having no clue, wouldn’t let him back on the stage. It turned into a scuffle with security, at which point Josh Homme dropped his guitar to the stage and jumped in also. Eventually, security grew a brain and realised these guys were actually from the band on stage and let them back up. Epic times!

i agree. im new to kyuss and i have needed this band for a long time. what an obnoxious ripoff asshole. he's not an artist or a musician. he is a cvnt. Bruno Fevery is heroic for even getting involved in this for the fans who survive on this kind of music. thanks for letting me reply dude. be well.
@TonyRedgrave15014 жыл бұрын
You're wrong. He didn't stopped them from performing these kind of events. He stopped them from using the name Kyuss to make new music. In the end he wrote 70% of the music. He and Brant Bjork are Kyuss. John Garcia nor the bassists had much to do with the song writing. They started to make new music under the name Vista Chino and broke up. That had nothing to do with Homme. In the end these Kyuss Lives! concerts have been a cash grab nothing else. Even the drummer who played on the last Kyuss record Alfredo Hernandez thinks that way as I heard.
@zero712343 жыл бұрын
@@TonyRedgrave1501 Josh homme is beyond rich, famous and successful. It seems really petty of him to do this. It doesn't make any difference if these guys do a "cash grab" or whatever, he's not even part of band anymore
