It is the best Kyuss song. And the last on the last full length album they ever made. A revolutionary band that went out with a bang. They literally created a genre of music and didn't even try to. They are still considered underground, yet they have that level of influence. Probably the best band that no one ever heard of in the history of rock. Amazing!

+MrRetroville Kyuss is one of my favorite bands, but... what about Melvins? They are not so accesible as Kyuss, but they created at least two music genres (sludge and drone) and they practically founded grunge in the Deep Six Compilation.-

They didn't want to sound like anyone. They rejected metal, they rejected grunge. They represent the birth of Desert Rock, sometimes called Stoner Rock. I think the band never wanted to be labelled. They wanted to create a different sound, built on cool riffs. Now there are a million bands trying to emulate their sound. Some of them are very good. But if you want to be legendary like Kyuss, find your own sound, make something totally unique.

They basically ended their career with this bombshell without telling anyone that it was actually over....! What a track to go out on, it has everything you'd expect from Kyuss old and new (and yes I do now about the split ep with QOTSA that came after). But as far as curtain calls go.....bow your head to the masters as this IS the final curtain call on a band who resurrected a whole scene and made metal exciting again from all the depressive music that was around at the time (eg Seattle scene). I do love that scene by the way but it was so refreshing to hear those lyrics....." You don't seem to understand the deal......."

They aren’t underrated dude. I used to watch them live many times. They were amazing. They were my favorite along with nirvana. Those bands live were the best ever. Such religious spiritual experiences. Live is where it’s at. Went on their bud once and they were eating ham slices on American cheese as dinner. They were dead broke. The bought a nice touring van and the record didn’t sale. Bad choice of first mtv video. Burned by my lighter as first intro to the band is a little off. But whatever haha

@@Tencreed indeed, Did like it very much, but that Band of gold of his just does not have the right approach. They don't have the songs really mastered and play it on FWD. It can be nice to play faster then the record, but not if you can't get the accents right anymore.

Also saw Kyuss perform this song last Tuesday in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Without the last part, though, but it didn't matter. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen in my life so far. Really would like to see 'em again in June in 013, Tilburg! :D

They have returned! "Kyuss Lives" Google it! They're also on Facebook. They're touring the U.S. in fall of 2011... so look for the dates on their page. It's the band without Josh, but this is probably the closest we'll ever get to the real thing! They have a new album set to come out in 2012

So good. Saw them do it. And I saw Kyuss Lives! close out thier show with it too. I cut all the silence after the track and use it on loop to cool me out if I go "overboard". I repeat, SO GOOD! Nice up Guru350. TFS

Let’s have a shoutout to Producer, Chris Goss - I knew him from the old Masters Of Reality Days, back in Syracuse, NY. If you’re here, you just may enjoy Masters Of Reality - the band. Goss gets little credit in the birth of the desert rock sound, and it’s well-deserved.

This is maybe the best stoner rock song ever written... Has everything it should have... It's very long, it's sabbatesque, it's slow, it has tremendous bass, it has an incredible guitar solo, it has John Garcia... A genre's peak

@@riggs100 I feel you. That album is fantastic. Solarian 13, Return Trip, and Doom Mantia are all incredible. My second favorite album. I prefer WitchCult Today. I feel its a perfect blend of SuperCoven and DopeThrone. Torquemada 71, Saturnine, and Satanic Rites of Drugula are my favorites. I just feel its a perfect marriage of all their influences and sounds. The perfect combination of psychedelia and sludge.

Always dig them from the Blues red sun came out. Friends with their management. Catherine Enny called me in early 90’s to ask if I was a great drummer. To replace Bjork quitting cuz he didn’t want to be big. I had to say no I’m not a great drummer. I could of left to open for Metallica in Australia. But I didn’t get a new drum set after I had one at age 5. Haha. Saw them three times back then. Just amazing. Went on their tour bud to say hi one time. They were all eating ham and cheese sandwiches. Lol. They were broke. They spent all their money on. I’ve four bud but their album didn’t sell even though it was awesome. They chose not the best song as their big video on mtv. They chose you’ve been burned by my lighter haha. Not the best song. I loved seeing them in small clubs. Epic. Them and nirvana live were the best ever

Dual overlay solo guitar riffs. Sick. One of the best tracks of all time. Like big fat dinosaur rifts. A Nirvana (the outro is about Kurt) of their genre, except addicted to weed, not heroin.
