Did u notice? When she sort of knelt, by the time she was up & kept performing, towards the end her earring on right ear isn't there but its in her hand, notice it as she gestures to her chest. In an interview she said she felt her earring slip so she caught it coz she didn't want to lose it coz it belongs to the stylist. Such extraordinary presence of mind, imagine that! What a truly unique talented performer coz she performed so flawlessly & yet she had that happening to her on stage! Wow! She's such a unique & excellent talent!

Found you through KZ...great reaction. Loved how you said you felt KZ might sing this song differently if she sang it again! You will soon find how accurate that statement was, as you continue thru your KZ journey! As to which KZ performance to listen to....ALL OF THEM! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. That being said, for me,, the best quality (filmed by a professional or in studio) ones would be: 1. All 8 performances on The Singer 2018 TV show. 2. All her Wish 107.5 ones. 3. KZ performing "Close to you....hidden talent."[ 4 And her BBC London interview/performance.l 5. Finally, she sings in 3 languages. And if you stay with her when you sings in Tagalog and in Chinesd, you will not regret it! As a sidebar, I found The Singer show following KZ and that show itself is worth watching. Awesome band, lighting , each production is beautifully put out. Found other great artist worth watching there...Jessie J, Hua Chenyu, Dimas, Shila.....to name a few. Finally, I would encourage you (and anyone else watching a KZ performance) to never take your eyes off of the screen...or else you WILL miss something. Not hard to do for us non-reacting viewers, bc all of her performances are so captivating! Welcome to the World of KZ!

Thank you for reacting to KZ. I really like your reaction because of three things that you mentioned. 1. She’s feisty and ready to fight. The vibes I feel in Adele’s version was she was the victim of the man who played her. In KZ’ version, the man lost something great by playing her heart. 2. Jazzy style of singing. Yes she is a great jazz singer too. In fact my favourite video in KZbin is her performance of “I’m Feeling Good” with Jaya, another great Filipino singer. I would highly recommend you to react to this too. You’ll definitely be amazed by it. 3. She can sing this song with a different adlibs. You’re right again. There is another version of this song that I actually preferred that this version that you just reacted to. It’s her performance in the Wishbus with just a guitar player and a drummer accompanying her. That’s what I like with KZ, she cover songs and make it her own and she plays with it in anyway she likes to play it with. It’s like you won’t see her performance a song the same over and over again. There is always a twist into so it’s always a new performance.

With this, we can better see your “raw” reactions. You’re the first reactor to notice the fact that she’s able to modify the chorus in every performance. She never sang this song the same way, ever. The structure is the same for the most part but the notes are never the same because of how inventive she is with the melodies.

I feel the autotune at the beginning was an artistic choice.KZ's performance here has a theatrical flare. The acoustic guitar brings to mind romance . When KZ starts singing with the autotune, I believe it's intended to 1. confuse (song is about betrayal) and 2. bring out that robotic sound (song is about someone manipulated "you played it... you played..."). It takes technical vocal skills to use an autotune in a live performance specially when KZ knows exactly what emotion she wants to communicate: sadness and devastation (see her facial expression while singing in autotune). She's in a dark state (the stage is literally dark). She wants to break free (see her hand gesture before she belts out that sustained note with the autotune). That sustained note signals her breaking away from that manipulative bubble. The camera moves and somewhat rolled, the stage was dark and then it was filled with streaks of light. She's free! She's no longer sad. But she's angry (see the use of red light on stage all through out thebperformance) because something that's beautiful was all put to waste. KZ owned the song right in the very beginning. The rap (in Filipino language; speaks of frustration and anger) is just a bonus. This performance has so many layers: interpretation of story in the song, melodic changes, vocal style, and stage presence. KZ is not just a singer, she's a legit artist. She takes the extra mile to make a difference in her craft for the world to enjoy. My two cents.
