I think it’s clear how live it was specially when KZ asked the audience to sing along during the chorus. You can even hear how the sound of the mic faded when she’s pointing the mic to the audience.

the thing she sang on the first seconds of her performance was the way tribes on the prehispanic philippines sang. so basically, prehispanic filipinos do not do runs as you wish. the way our ancestors sing is like etherial.

No matter how good KZ is, the result is always based on the 500 people who watched it live and graded their performance. There is no permanent judge, so all depends on the music preference of their current audience. The full length version of each episode posted on Singers i believe has the live vocals 😊👍 nice review!

It actually reminded me of Juvie Pelos' "Uwahig" during the Blind Auditions of The Voice Philippines. I can understand why Ovela mistook it for Hispanic influence because this actually comes from the Moorish (Arab-Islamic) influence on Spanish music which is a similar influence for a lot of Islamic aspects of Indonesian, Malaysian, and Philippine cultures.

i've never seen such really exquisite show like singer 2018! i just understand now about the compression how they make the sound really perfect, thanks for this video. but they actually turned down the compression during finals... for me this singer 2018 is all about rendition of new songs and old songs/folk songs to make it like there own song based on what they believe and culture they represent. just like what the other chinese singer did, KZ justified what she really wanted to tell not only to the show but to the whole world. she's a singer, she can do whatever she wants . im proud of her!

FYI guys, KZ will sing "See You Again" next Episode 10 as a farewell performance BUT, she's actually going to sing again for Wild Card, so there's still a chance for KZ to reach the Grand Finals!! You read it right..on a birthday party! She's a guest there and yeah! She sung flawlessly even in live! No kidding. That is right MGN, the episodes are post-produce. They record it a week before it's actual airing on TV. Every friday is the time slot of the show. But the episode that will air was a recording from the last friday's recording. They edit the episodes audio and video quality to make it better for airing.. EQ and stuff like that..

Hello! I'm late but i think that there are no judges. Not to sound like it, but it's kind of a popularity contest in a way that there are 500 audiences who'll vote for who is their "favorite" and not really who they wanted to be eliminated then they tally every votes. Even the producers said that kz's performances are for world class/international performance. So their ranking really depends on the taste of the audiences in that show. I watched the whole episode 9,seriously KZ makes me alive with her performance out of 8 she did so well with all her heart and uniqueness she put Philippine ethnic tribal at the start plus rock,reggae,rap etc.The categories are skills,arrangement,performance i think but how come she ranked at 8?last?are they serious?I don't know what Chinese peepz like about music its predictable.Even JJ got sick being stressed mentally it's like doing your best but they don't like.Well,its enough for KZ she already showcased her ability and uniqueness in singing.

i believe that the performances are not post-produced or whatever it is like . For some reason, it may be because of the technological advancement of the show the reason why their vocals sounded so perfect and if you happen to also watch some of kz's other performances here in the Philippines she also gives such a static performance amidst those vocal struggles that a singer may face and yet she sounded so amazing either live or not. By the way i like your reaction video it looks so genuine!!!
