A Fil-Chinese singer who speaks Mandarin reviewed and reacted to this particular performance of KZ and, according to him, her diction and pronunciation are spot on. While she might have mispronounced a few words but these were negligible compared to the bulk of the song that she sang with much emotion. He also said that KZ sang a Chinese medley (of 3 songs) that they put in one melody - so she still made it her own!

Jessie J is a judge she's not competing so I don't think KZ had to get attention. Besides, her talent speaks for itself. As a matter of fact, KZ admires Jessie J and considers it a blessing to be able to work with her on the show. Memorize? Yes, she did but at the same time, aside from perfecting the diction and the lyrics, she always ALWAYS interprets it from her heart , so much so that even if you don't understand Mandarin, you will be moved by all of her performances

As a singer myself, professionals literally sit down with the song, getting the meaning of it, listen to how it been sang and we sing it according to the given lyrics. Jessie J. won that LIVE COMPETITION PERFORMANCE & was GOOD but KZ was BETTER. She's NOT ONLY GREAT singer but also an AMAZING VERSATILE, PHENOMENAL , MULTI TALENTED PERFORMER.
