Mate she sang a song that is not hers and in another language that is not even her native language and made the local people cry. Her bravery to take up that challenge with the risks going up exponentially in a foreign language is huge!! “The hurts you never knew” was a remix done by her. She combined 3 classic chinese ballad songs into one. She learned mandarin only for a week. Imagine how great she is and captured the emotions of the audience thru that song. I teared up too when I first heard the song even if I can’t understand mandarin! KZ, whose coach on the Philippine version of X Factor (where she was discovered) was Jake (Charice) and who both remain friends to this day, is a true top-notch and original performer, even in her auditions. Jake (Charice) saw it even then. Both of them have set the bar high in live performances, owning the songs and interacting with their audiences to the fullest. Both are influences to, and pre-date [the emergence of] the amazing new talents who reactors now enjoy watching ü They both have the level of commitment to the song while giving their own expressions of it. KZ and Jake (as Charice) are the most giving and 2 of the best live performers on Philippine stage for me ü (the other being Bituin Escalante, but videos of her performances are rare on YT).

Imagine if your own song which in every sense of the story behind it that sent it to super stardom lyrically, emotionally and positively to the most hard core followers/fans to then shift the loyalty factor of this very young mass of Gen Z population in every corner of the planet to feel a kind of mesmerising, elevated moment of some deeply real connection to the original song and it's artist be totally engaged remembering how much the lyrics combined with it's delivery has been momentarily reinvented but by an Artist of no world wide impact would virtually create a whole new perspective and delivery that was once unheard of having an impact from how she owned the stage, reached out to the viewers/audiences not only present but globally is both unbeleivable and took it to a whole new status of both the loyal origin of the songs owner and created a connection to now be a very diverse fan-omania! The originality of an already original will no doubt have those artists admire her gifted talented, take their songs to reawaken the old fan base and shift their loyalty fan base to KZ to celebrate it's redifined presence by a virtual unknown woman from the Phillipines. If you are in shock of not knowing KZ it's because KZ was making her choices as to where and who she wanted to take her God given talents to her fan base of Phillipino/Chinese which I think her ethnicity may be of and all other Asian audiences. So she didn't have to make it in America, the UK or Europe to get to the mainstream audience because she did the hard slog knowing if she was going to make it her local audiences of Asian mixed population of all genders from all generations both present and future fans. She's the real deal. And that's not only insprational but more so how her performances , delivery and mind blowing presence to emotionally connect in the most personal way is truly what will inspire a whole new generation of artists from places no one could imagine but KZ isn't just a one trick pony. Unreal artist!
