What a good earphone that has more bass instead of high-pitched trebles that gives me headaches?! All KZ earphones I tested so far are so much like "only trebles". I don't know how to use a equalizer and I'm not a musician. I just want something that sounds good for general usage. Any thoughts?

The problem with your request is most people would call those dark, slightly lacking in treble. Are you sure the fit is good? If your tips are not sealing in your ear, there is almost no bass. KZ is usually boosted bass and fatiguing treble, but almost never only treble.

@@sabbatus On windows you can use Equaliser APO with the Peace interface to load premade EQ profiles that try to correct the excesses of head/earphones and make them a little flatter, Wavelet on Android does that too. If you have a look on the AutoEQ github project they have detailed instructions on how to apply the profiles.

Mine is coming in today i was picking between the zst pro x, vk4, trn st1, kbear s2, and zsn pro x. I picked zsn pro x cus it sounded like the perfect brightness in my head somewhat bass and overall good sound quality im using a dap so that should be even better:)

To be fair, you would be doing good with any of those choices. Of that group, the ZSN Pro is easily the most popular and the ZSN Pro X is basically the same. I would still take the Pro X as I think it is very slightly better. If your DAP has an EQ, that might help you dial in the high and low end if needed.

i have trn v30 and Zsn pro i like the sound but trn are more naturel sound the Zsn with my quad dac of Lg are not very good in vocals and détails only the basses and mids are very good details and the sound have big presence and fatigue.. i want the zsn pro x to compare that..

If you are treble sensitive, take a look at single DD iems. If you have an iem that bothers you, I would suggest buying micropore tape and experimenting to find a solution that works for you. That will cost you $3usd and can be used on other iems to bring down the upper range. That is why I have another video on the ZSN Pro X mod.

Blon 03 or ksn kx pro x for soundstage or instrument separation?

Tough one. Soundstage is Blon but separation is a toss up. That is one complaint on the BL03, but it gets better with more power. Like other DD, it tends to tighten up a bit with an amp but between the boosted bass and slowish driver, the separation was a complaint. In some respects, the ZSN Pro X is a bit faster and I think the boosted upper range helps too. I would still lean towards the BL03, a budget dac, and maybe some wider bore tips to control the bass and get a bit more separation. Tough one as most people want a lower bass level and faster decay to bring out that separation.

Hey Paulwasabii, awesome review! I've been becoming more and more addicted to these chifi iems, I'll probably pick a ZSN Pro X up during the sale even though I have a few pair of iems already. Have you heard anything good about the CCA C10 Pro? I'm hoping those will drop during the sale as well.

The C10 Pro is a bit too new, probably just started shipping a few days ago. I see it at $35 for next week which is $4-5 off just on the one in my cart. Maybe some store will drop below that next week. Certainly a lot of interest in that one. KZ also announced the EDX which has even less information at this point. Thank you

@@Lecon223 Yeah you aren't alone on the C10 Pro. EDX is supposedly a DD only and the ZAX is 7+1 like the CA16. I have had luck canceling orders on Aliexpress especially on sales where it takes a few days to process. Or enjoy the C10 Pro until 11-11 when there will be a bigger sale.

I use Wavelet and in the EQ, there are simple presets like Bass Boost or Treble Reduction. I typically start there as they affect a whole range and then start reducing the values. I would start with Treble reduction though

No, to be honest, I would buy the cheapest one shipped to your location. Someone recently mentioned the TRN ST1 was significantly less expensive in their location. The ZSTX is nice, just lower your volume first as it can go very loud.

I would actually go with the KZ ZSTX. It has a big V shape which is boosted bass and upper range so very energetic and engaging. It hits your ear hard so don't be surprised if you get a bit of ear fatigue after an hour.

They are quite different and I would use them differently. The ZSTX has a hard hitting mid bass which works very well on high energy beat driven tracks. The Pro X is flatter bass-mids and my opinion works better in the mids than mid-bass so that is why I talked about the vocals. That section is nice, and goes a bit bright/peaky as you go up so be careful if you are treble sensitive. My preference leans towards fun and the ZSTX, that is not a better than the other statement, just that it works better on my EDM genres which play well to the strong mid-bass V shape.

No, the EDX is good, the ZSN Pro gets you a bigger, brighter V shape. Either DQ6 or consider the mid range sets like KZ ZAX where there is a bigger return in sound quality for the money

KZ is probably ruled out but I would try some ideas on your current IEM. Foam tips, tips with smaller bore, EQ. It is getting hard to find, but the Sony MH755 or the VK4 just because of its popularity and price.

For me, I wasn't super happy about a ZSN Pro X that was a bit brighter so I would go ZS10 Pro or drop back to the EDX if I just wanted to get a first feel of iems.

The thing on the Blon, if you are remotely passionate about gear or music, you should try it at $24 and buy tips. The ZSN Pro X graph is almost the reverse of the Blon. Blon had a boosted bass and flat-ish mids/upper. ZSN Pro X is boosted upper, flat mids and bass. KZ announced the EDX which might be a closer pick to the Blon. The KZ house sound is more V-shape-ish so it is very fun and engaging at the expense of tonality/accuracy. Blon is a bit flatter but tonality. If you had unlimited funds, you would have a Blon and something more V shaped for that fun pair

This is my opinion, if the ZSN Pro and Pro X measure the same bass level, but the upper mid on the Pro X is just a bit higher, it will sound as if it has less bass. We hear the graph at once, not in parts. So the short answer is the ZSN Pro but if you are going to use micropore tape or even EQ to knock down the upper mid a bit, then Pro X as there is the same bass, just harder to hear. That is really just my view on it and why I try to avoid the brighter sets as that is the dominant part I will hear. Also why I will use micropore tape or tips just to knock it down a small bit to bring out the lower end

@@koushis069 thank you me too i have the zsn pro but its not really good .. great sound but details its not natural only boossted sound and the sound quality not very nice only the bass are really great if you need just bass ok if you need bass and quality of vacals treble or détails with bass no.. and i have a quad dac and Eq in my LG when your put sound volume around the max in your ears the vocals do an agressiv job not very nice only the bass can have a big détails.. me too i want the zsn pro x to compare that..

Yeah its ok, my issue with musically tuned earphones and movies is the dialog can by quiet. If you have ever tried a cheap pair of wireless earbuds, the vocals are boosted for that reason. Generally more useful for gaming/movies/podcasts/calls to have the vocals popped up a bit. So yes, it works, but I would lean towards the ZST X because they are loud in the mids. I don't like adjusting the volume in movies so I almost always use wireless for movies.

@@MarkHobbes Ultimately most affordable earphones are tuned for music. Not necessarily the best for taking calls or watching movies. I would certainly try something in the affordable range QKZ VK4, KZ ZSN Pro, TRN ST1/M10, KZ EDX and see how it works for your daily use. TWS/Wireless earbuds have that more balanced tuning as they try to work well taking calls, music, games, movies, etc.

For me, I like vocals and would take the ZSN Pro X. I also really like KBEAR as I have reviewed a few of them. I can deal with the bright sound/tinny KZ cymbals if the vocals sound great. I think a lot of people would prefer the KS2 just for the easier treble. Do consider how sensitive you are to the high end on those two. As you said KBEAR continues to up their game with each new product

But it is not a boosted bass so it will be present, filling out the vocals, but I do like a bigger bass sound. The Pro X notched it down to show off the detail. The KS2 is more traditional boosted bass, just an easy grab and go IEM. KZ also announced the EDZ but don't have any info on it yet
