Michael van Lieshout was six when he started taking guitar lessons from Joel Shadbolt (L.A.B Lead Singer) who was also a Music Teacher. At just 14 yrs Michael was invited on stage to play "Ain't No Use" in front of an audience of 20,000 people. He absolutely killed this performance. The Tauranga Boys' college student says the whole experience was "sensational", roadies even offered to tune and carry his gear. It is Ell Ay Bee, not lab(ratory). Before Joel headed LAB he was a guitar tutor at his local intermediate school (your guys junior high). Young Michael was his student and 14-15 when he played in this vid - theres an interview on our national news channel with young Michael - he was stoked to play with his mentor
