L.A. fires latest: "Particularly dangerous" winds warning yet again for Southern California

Only a couple of days ago a charity called Direct Relief was being promoted as one to donate to to help people who got stuck without their meds. They should be filling in for diabetics and others. Where are they and are they helping the way they said they would? Also, heads up for the animals - not all shelters in the Bay area have room. Are these animals simply being shuffled off to Buffalo for lack of anywhere else to send them? San Jose in particular has had a lot of problems. People want to help but there's no room - resources are limited. Please be careful with this. Do your homework -

Oregon has accepted several groups of shelter animals that were there before. So has Washington. We hope to find them all homes here and keep making room for the temporarily displaced or lost pets and wildlife.

Thats not accurate , Most homes in SoCal have fire proof roofs. I live in malibu and the biggest issue is people not keeping trees and bushes close to heir homes. what they need to do is build concrete walls around the entire home the people that have that their houses did not burn down. The issue is also people don't have the money to upgrade their homes not everybody living in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu are rich, I know because I'm one of them.

Check out video on this tube. "Design For Disaster" Put out by FDLA. It shows this scenario has played out before even down to fire hydrants with no water. There is no reason they should not have been more prepared. There were three one million gallon reservoirs that ran out. The large reservoir that was not filled could have refilled those smaller three 30 times.

Also, the state of California sold one of the largest reservoir to a billionaire family with basically pennies I forgot the name of the family, but they are the ones that make the pomegranate juice called POM , they also own the biggest pistachio company and I believe they own a winery called Jason wines? You can go look it up. We have water. They're just not willing to sell it to us.

I don't know, I'm Hungarian and maybe it's just my Hungarian logic telling me this. But if these poor people want to get something out of their house before it's all over, they should be allowed to do so in the following way : - resident proves to the police that his house is there - with his address card - the resident goes to his house accompanied by a police officer - The resident quickly gathers their medications, photo albums, movable valuables, cash, jewelry, and whatever can be gathered in 15 minutes. And everyone would be a little calmer, instead of this stressful situation where residents can't enter their own houses.

Unfortunately there too many people and not enough police. They are chasing down looters and assisting fire crews by stopping traffic and such. These people need to understand that it is not safe yet and a hot spot could start up at any time. Firefighters and police who are searching for bodies are the only people that can be in there. The streets need to stay clear from cars so that fire engines and equipment can continue to move around to follow the leading edge.

Water is being brought in continuously. 6 - Even if, like Trump claimed, the protection of the Delta Smelt caused over regulation by California, it's the FEDERAL Endangered Species Act that requires the protection of endangered species like the Delta Smelt and their habitats, not Gavin Newsom or California. It is something to consider that the Governance of southern Cal would like this narrative of arson to replace the reality of neglect that the citizens of Southern California will surely hold them accountable for. Even were arson the true culprit here, it does not explain the lack of preparedness that is obviously a contributor to this result. Of course, the blame game is not going to save anyone the heartache and suffering they are going through. Blame is not water or responsible management. Safety is the fruit of choices made by citizens and management, and I'm sure this is what people would have wanted given a choice.
