I need the highway wind blowin' in my hair Five thousand miles I've roamed now, I'm gettin' there This is my destiny, the way that I choose Don't need no one to talk about About love and blues Round, round, up and down Moves so fast, never touch the ground High, high, touch the sky Don't come down, don't make me try Lost in space or any other place Living my dream on the moving train Gypsy, electric gypsy, round I blow, yeah I remember way back when, I was just like you Yeah, I killed myself to live, but I didn't have a clue I got saddled in chrome and steel 750 reasons why I can't stand still Oh no, here I go Gotta keep moving, gotta let go 'Nother town, 'nother girl Can't stand still till I've seen the world Till I've seen the world, when I cry Get in my spaceship, watch me fly Gypsy, electric gypsy, round I blow, yeah, ooh, ah Don't need no one to tell me to settle down Life in the fast lane suits me to the ground This is my destiny, the way that I choose Don't need no one to tell me About love and blues Round, round, up and down Moves so fast, never touch the ground High, high, touch the sky Don't come down, don't make me try Lost in space or any other place Puttin' my dream on the moving train Gypsy, electric gypsy, round I blow Gypsy, electric gypsy, oh oh oh Gypsy, electric gypsy, round I blow Gypsy, electric gypsy, (n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-no no no no no no) round I blow Gypsy, electric gypsy, (oh oh oh oh oh) round I blow Gypsy

Me too! 56 now, still putting on the miles and rocking hard, enjoying life, but that seemed liked such a magical time!What is cool is that many of the bands I listened to at the time are still around putting out music and the ones that aren't, have been filled in with lots of good, younger bands. I was sure that good hard rock an metal was going to die out by the time I got to this age, but I'm still enjoying a lot of the stuff that comes out!

Even if this band wasn't as well known as they should have been, this was a top ten guitar riff of the 80's for me for sure.
@maxxxmodelz40612 жыл бұрын
Man, I remember I used to try like hell to get my friends into this band back then. No one wanted to hear it. Guns N Roses had just exploded with Welcome To The Jungle, and they were about to be the biggest band in the world for a few years and LA Guns flew under the radar until Ballad Of Jayne. It's a shame because they had 3 bangers off this album that could have been huge hits.
@johnstrika9170 Жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I wasn't a huge fan of LA Guns back in the day, but this riff.... legendary
@michaelbrinks8089 Жыл бұрын
@@maxxxmodelz4061I really like the music 🎶 part of this but just can't get into the singing, lyrics or song structure. His voice isn't bad but seems odd for this song. Kinda hard to describe. Like I'd much rather just jam out to the music without the singing or song. Sorta like King Diamond, the music rocks but the constant falsetto/high voice gets annoying to me. But I guess other hard core KD fans love his constant falsettos.

Some people would say that the 60's or 70's were the real party. I think Studio 54 has the Cathouse beat, personally. I guess it depends on when you yourself were in your prime. Whoever you are, the big party is always during your late 10's-early 30's.
@scottedwards602610 жыл бұрын
Hadn't listened to this in 20 years, tis' now my daily commute. Great album and they backed it up with Cocked'n'Loaded, one of the most underrated albums of that time. We wax lyrical about the 'good old days', but lets be honest, they were. Not stuck in the past but not many of today's bands come close to matching the quality of the halcyon days of late 80's early 90's.

Maybe one difference is that the "way of life" is accepted. I just saw Greta Van Fleet in Detroit. By today's standards, it doesn't get any more "fresh" than them. Clearly they are students of the American rock scene. Four young men out of Frankenmuth MI. I'm not knocking them cause they are good, but their grandparents where at the show. They have one EP out and are traveling in a $200,000 private and customized rig. It's tough to be edgy when there is no edge. Does this make sense?

All you older guys are lucky, you got to grow up with this as popular good music and through the party that was the 80's. Im 19 and all i get for new music is shit. With the exception of the older bands still producing and a few new ones like Airbourne. Also Steel Panther but its more parody, still one of my favorites. Don't look up Steel Panther if you're easily offended.
@thezombie78399 жыл бұрын
+Aaron Blom It's odd, man. In the '80s, we didn't realize how cool it was. A lot of us wished we had grown up in the late 60s with "free love" and lots of booze and drugs. We didn't know we were doing it even better. lol Maybe your generation is going to do it even better.

+Aaron Blom new music isnt shit, the only new music you know must be shit, thats different. the only music out there isnt the mainstream music... there are plenty of other good bands and artists. BUT if you only like 80's hard rock/heavy metal, then yeah you'll have a hard time. Dont look for music on youtube, you'll get stuff based on view numbers. look deeper, go in forums and pages, where people share the music they like. Or even simpler, have a small music group on facebook or something with your friends and share good music you find with each other. It's the age of information, use the internet.
