Trump said when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Who has been shot? Many police and one beautiful innocent black girl, shot by a rioter shooting in a crowd. You hate Trump for rhetoric but ignore actions of others. Now the left is mad he held up a bible. That is headline news, not the hard working business owners who spent years building their business in these communities. Crickets.....

@@montello33 Trump had police on horseback forcefully remove peaceful protesters, including the owners of that church, for a government funded campaign ad, which is illegal. In the process, an Australian camera man was assaulted by police. The Australian prime minister is asking for an investigation. Cops killed a man in Louisville. Cops permanently blinded a reporter in one eye in Minneapolis. Cops in Kansas City were caught on film moving as a group to attack one black man in a group of peaceful protesters, trying to incite a riot! A cop in NYC pushed a woman to the ground so hard she hit her head & had a seizure in front of a superior officer, & they didn't even slow down to check on her. My Twitter feed is filled with videos of cops committing acts of violence no honest ethical person could excuse, & I think it's been orchestrated to deflect from the over 100,000 Americans that have died in 3 months due to Trump's incompetence! I hope Trump swings as the traitor he is!

I was not aware of this speech (too young to follow),but I did know later that Bush initially expressed that the video of the beating made him "sick". Now I know why no black person, no matter how negative they view this Bush, has had anything bad to say about him when it comes to the Rodney King situation. He was sympathetic in this speech.

What do I expect? Law and order! It is asinine to assert that the "natural" response of an oppressed people is to destroy their own city in response to a judicial verdict they don't like. @@黒キツネ-九零二一零hahahaha, nobody is arguing against that point. You can just grant re-trials at will - just because you did not like the outcome. There is a process which must be followed. You dont get to loot, kill and burn down a city just because you did not get what you want. President Bush said that the federal government would lookin into the matter independently. But the rioters did not want to wait for that. Later on the federal government prosecuted a separate civil rights case, obtaining grand jury indictments for violations by the four officers of King's civil rights. Where two of the officers found guilty and sentenced to prison. The other two were acquitted of the charges. So all in all the riots forced Bush to do only thing that he could. It was the only solution. I wonder how many more would have died or be hurt in the riots, burnings and lootings if it was not for the guard.
